Congratulations to you!! I'm beginning an LPN program this fall and I am looking forward to being in your shoes 7 quarters from then! I think that no matter what path you choose from this point forward you should be proud and not accept the negative comments others make. It's so easy to be judgemental about someone elses successes. good luck!!!

Hi WannaBNrse, I just passed my exam and drew pericare as one of my skills. In class we were taught to wash the labia minora 1st - one wipe down towards the orifice, reposition the wash cloth and wipe a 2nd time, and repeat for a 3rd time. Basically you work from the inner areas to the outer ones (cleanest to dirtiest). Then we were taught to change the water, obtain a fresh washcloth and then handle the back side. Remember to wipe away from the urthera and to reposition the wash cloth with each wipe. Oh and don't do what I did and forget the bath blanket!! Good luck:)

Hi all - I just finished my state test this am and I was so nervous - I thought maybe I would be the one to need the emesis basin, or at least a bed to lie down on for a few minutes. I drew vest restraint, nail care, hair care and pericare (I just KNEW that would be one of mine:rolleyes: I honestly don't know how I did and I won't know until Tuesday. The evaluator spoke with a very heavy accent and that added even more stress to my skills part. errrrr!! :smackingf :smackingf Can you really say all this is worth it?

I just took my state test this a.m. I was SO nervous. I think I did just fine on the written part, but I have no clue about the skills portion. Of course, I got pericare as my last skill!! I don't think I committed any of the big no-no,s but like you guys I have to waitfor my results. Someone is supposed to call on Tuesday- ughhhh!! Meantime it's back to studying Chemistry. Is all of this really worth it?
