"study ADN 5 trisems in RP + 1 trisem in US = US graduate" - is it possible??
I am sad to know that someone is "confused" with the topic. May I clarify my position that the intention for this topic is to gather good insights from caring individuals who would like to help so that other interested parties, who have limited capacity to verify everything via international call, would be guided in an economical way? Please try to understand that the excerpts are not intended to either confuse readers or advertise something. Thank you.

I agree it is too risky. Subjects to be taken from that school will not be recognized by CHED if one will have to transfer to the BSN program, notwithstanding the cost one will have to incur in enrolling with that program.

St. Ignatius Health Science College made its curriculum very similar to Fresno City Colleges'. Here is a link for comparison: SIHSC: http://www.stignatiuscollege.com/curriculum_ADN.htm Fresno City College: http://www.fresnocitycollege.edu/healthscience/nursing/requirements.html By the way, thanks for the advice and for the help. I hope we could be informed better with the help of that immigration lawyer with regards to the student visa application issue.

hello! thanks for your replies. by the way, here are some excerpts from their full-page advertisement in the philippine daily inquirer that i was able to copy: "your proposal of sending your senior students to fresno city college as advanced placement students to take the last semester courses in the fcc rn program and to complete the courses necessary for the college to grant them an associate degree will make the students eligible to the nclex rn examination. your willingness to make your curriuculum very similar to ours will make this process easier." - ned doffoney (message to st. ignatius health science college) fresno city college, president "your students can sit for the nclex by enrolling into the fresno adn program to complete their studies. this would allow your students to sit for the nclex as graduates of fresno city college." - maria e. bedroni (message to st. ignatius health science college) supervising nursing educ consultant, board of nursing, california it is really too good to be true. what do you thinks guys?

There were compliments on the same full page advertisement coming from the following personalities : 1. Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Republic of the Philippines President 2. Atty. Peng Chan Immigration Lawyer Pasadena, Cali 3. Maria E. Bedroni Supervising Nursing Educ Consultant BON California 4. Ned Doffoney Fresno City College President 5. Clarita Rivero Assistant Dept Manager Patient Care Service, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center 6. Jaime Galvez-Tan Former Dept of Health Secretary Republic of the Philippines Can anyone help check this out if those messages coming from the mentioned personalities were genuine?

Metro Manila nursing schools
I was able to see that thread you are talking about before I inquired in this forum. All I wished after posting my thread is a generous "someone" who is personally knowledgeable about my concern, who could provide me some help through sharing of information, since I am from the countryside. Anyway, thanks for the comment.

Need advise to fellow pinay pls!
hello emetib! where does your cousin intend to attend college/university here in the philippines? the cost of tuition and miscellaneous fees are quite high in metro manila compared to other cities around the country. it ranges from 18k-30k pesos in most schools, but for some reputable college/universities, it could range above 30k pesos. may you also include the expenses on his/her cost of living: food, boarding home, transportation, and others.

Fresno College special affiliation with St Ignatius College (Philippines)
hello people! i am a bsn student currently studying here in the philipppines. i am looking for a school where i could transfer this coming second semester. as i browsed the web searching for prospect schools, i happened to see this website of st. ignatius: http://www.stignatiuscollege.com/index.htm i am curious about their program, and i quote - from their website: "st. ignatius health science college offers the philippines' pioneer two-year registered nursing (asdn) program specifically intended for those who wish to work in the united states. our curriculum includes a final trimester which qualified students will spend at an affiliated school in the u.s., finishing as u.s. graduates. students will study 20 months in the philippines (5 trimesters of 4 months each) and 4 months at fresno city college in california." just want to ask anyone from fresno who could confirm if this is real? thank you!
