  1. Hey Everyone! I also got in to UCSF Acute Care NP program for fall :) Just curious, Did anyone get anything official in the mail? Welcome letter? Any more "formal" information? The only thing I have received so far was from fin aid regarding how to log on to myaccess acct. Congrats to all who got into UCSF and other NP schools and I can't wait to meet you you guys in the fall:) Also anyone else making the move to UCSF?? I will be making the move from So. Cal to UCSF :)
  2. Hey ! thanks for the info, but Im a little confused. You had orientation already (did u mean the interview?)? I don't know if I remember a pink piece of paper. I also talked to Nursing Resource today and scheduled my New Hire Paperwork for Feb 6. I think she said there will be more dates offered in Feb just to fill out the New Grad Hire paperwork. I was also informed that the official start date will be Feb 9th.
  3. Hey i know that is kind of nice that we already know at least 2 other people who will be there in Feb :). I heard the same thing as well. They said that HR had not set the official date and that it would be around mid to end of Feb. I set up my appt for my physical in Jan but I wasn't able to schedule an appt for my new hire paperwork. Were they able to schedule you guys an appt for the new hire paperwork? I tried to set one up but they said they have not received the packet from the manager and to call back again. Let me know if you guys run into this as well :) Looking forward to meeting you guys! I wish you both luck with the move to LA:)
  4. I actually don't live that far from UCLA. I live about 17 miles south of UCLA. But just as an fyi, it took me almost 2 hours to get to my interview (rush hour traffic + accident that day)! I have lived in the LA area almost all my life, even though I don't enjoy the traffic...that is just how LA is. So if you are going to move, try to pick a place that is relatively close by (unless you don't mind the traffic:coollook:). Keep in mind Brentwood/Westwood area will be one of the more expensive areas to live in. Good luck with your housing search! I'm looking forward to meeting you in Feb!
  5. Hey superdave1222, I took the tour of CTICU, seems like a very busy floor to work at and I met some of the staff and they seemed really nice. Are you considering other hospitals or have u decided to accept the offer from UCLA? Well enjoy the tour when you go!
  6. Hello! Thank you so much for the info! I recently got offered positions in CTICU and Liver/Surgical ICU and I appreciate all the information you shared! How do like working in Liver/Surgical ICU? Did you also enjoy the new grad orientation on that unit? Any additional information would be great!
