Hi NYBSNHopeful, It's okay. I'm getting over it. I just wanted to start on my nursing career ASAP. I applied to Johns Hopkins so hopefully there's a chance there. I have a psych degree and love my research in behavioral psych.. however I have always enjoyed medicine. I want to work in clinical research so I will do that until I get into a nursing school. Good luck with NYU. You should be hearing from them soon. I have all the qualities to become a great nurse.. and more.. so I'm not worried. :) I'll just keep doing what I do.. and whatever is meant to be will be. Let me know how it goes!

hi there suzyhull, i haven't heard anything yet. they said they're starting to mail out decisions and it'll go out until the end of december.

I called them today. They said they do accept the University of Rochester classes. GL!

so how's the wait coming along? pretty nerve wracking huh? what did you graduate with for your first degree? just wanted to go get to know more people who are applying. :)

Completion of the following required prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better before starting the program: Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II, or one semester of Anatomy and one semester of Physiology Chemistry (one semester only) with lab Microbiology Nutrition Statistics Developmental Psychology or Life Span Psychology (courses in Introduction to Psychology, General Psychology, or Abnormal Psychology will not satisfy this prerequisite) For NYU, labs are recommended. For UR, those meet their prereqs. I don't think a lab is necessary for NYU, just recommended. For sure you need a lab in chemistry though.

It's online and self paced, so if you can take those this semester.. you can go straight into the program. I'm applying.. but I'm not too sure about making it. Crossing my fingers though! Let me know if you have any other questions.
