I passed my LNA!!! Yeahhhhh!!!

I wouldn't say LNA HealthCareers is bad. The instructor was bad. You cannot paint a broad stroke for the entire company because of one teacher. I took the course and was fine.

We had a severe outbreak years ago when I was in a particular facility. They had to go so far as to pull out all the carpeting in the facility. If I remember right, as long as they are recieving the lotion (forget the name of it), they are ok to move around. We didn't isolate anyone. Also, we did have to pay for our own prescriptions for ourselves. I actually ended up getting it, despite the precautions I took. I don't know what state's require as far as the facilities liability to the staff. I would check with your state board of nursing.

It is good to know that there are RNs out there who do appreciate their aides. Like in any field, there are those that are good and those that are bad. In the past, my best experience has been with RNs who aren't afraid to jump in and give a hand when it is needed. Those are the best RNs.

Yeah! A board for CNA's (or as they are called here-LNA's). I did this work 20 yrs ago, but got burned out, then family came along etc. I just finished my course this past weekend and am sitting for my state boards on Thursday! Can't wait to get back working. Plan on doing LTC for awhile while I get my BLS course and a few other things under my belt. Would really like to work in a hospital setting. Great to meet you all!
