  1. I felt exactly the same way as all of you. Luckily I only had to wait 24 hours before i got news that I passed. When my test stopped at 75 I thought that I would be glad. After all, most people seem to pass at 75 questions. However I couldn't even breath after that test and afterwords had a huge fight with my boyfriend over the results. No one can understand how hummiliating and crazy this test makes you feel. Don't worry too much because if you read most of the posts on this sight, most of the candidates feel the same way. I understand that the test is designed for you to get to a level where you are missing half of the questions. So expect not to know the majority of the responses. Good luck and I hope you hear that you passed soon!
  2. How many questions.....I had 75 and took nearly 2 hours to answer them Study materials...I used kaplan, lippencott, and nursing text. Did not take a review class since most people advised me that this was a waste of money unless you had a problem with disciplining yourself to study. Previous testing. My SON did not give an exit exam...although we have a 95% pass rate on the NCLEX Test results....got my results in exactly 22 hours via my BON. Thoughts about the test...went there feeling pretty confident that I would pass. Didn't sleep the night before and got lost on the way to the testing center. After we got there the proctor did not show up for work and we ended up starting late. I felt like I missed a lot of questions. I cried and threw my boyfriend out last night because I was sure that I had failed...I still can't believe that I made it! Passed on my first attempt. Yippee! :lol2:
  3. I don't know about peasonvue but a friend of mine took the dreaded test yesterday and her licenced posted today...I assume that pearsonvue had the results available as well. I took the test today and felt that I did horrible. I can't breath waiting for the test results. I hope that I will be able to find out tommorrow and not have to wait the entire 48 hours. ' Good luck and I send hopes of positive results
  4. Took my nclex today....shut off at 75...I have never felt more humiliation before now. I studied all the wrong things. It has been very hard to accept that I might have failed given the fact that I was at the top of my nursing class and a representative of student government...I feel i missed really easy questions and answered the hard ones right. I guess there is no predicting results but I want to stay positive. good luck all.
  5. Thanks I am still waiting for confirmation.....questions such as giving drugs etc...assume doctors order...is that what i understand
  6. No kidding on the scared part. I take my test tommorrow and honestly all the studing I have done to prepare seems inadequate. I hope to God I get some easy questions. All the best to those that are taking the test as we speak. My best friend in nursing school takes hers today. We both will not speak to each other until Friday and we both know the results. Fingers crossed in Washington'
  7. Go to the National Board of Nursings official website...candidate...frequently asked questions. Very helpful. Gives you exactly how the system works and how passing and failing are determined.
  8. So did I but then I found information in other books that suggested this was incorrect. Lippencott does not use that as a basis for their questions. It just would be nice to confirm this before tommorrow. Anyone out there who has taken the test know the answer??????? Please help
  9. I am taking my test tommorrow. Good advice everyone. It is hard to know how to prepare but brushing up on you test taking statagies surely will help. I plan to take a hike and get some oxygen to my brain. Bring hydration, chew gum, and a snack for brain food. I found their came a point when test questions were just getting mixed in my head. Time to clear out the cobwebs and get some good exersize and enjoy the beautiful mountains of the pacific northwest. Good luck on Friday.
  10. I have read several exam prep books and there is confusion among them. Can we assume we have a doctors order when looking at the interventions? Kaplan says yes! Anyone know for sure who has taken the nclex? Take my test tommorrow at 8am....wish me luck
