Thanks guys for the info. I just talked to my nurse manager (I start work next week) and she said that I just need to get it renewed by the time I am off orientation which is 3 months. She also said that the re-cert is longer anyways due to the new guidelines.

My CPR card just ran out on July 8th. It is through the American Heart Association. I was just wandering if there is any grace period for this card, and if I can renew it, or if I have to take the whole 8 hour class??? Thanks

I recently passed my NCLEX, and now I was wondering what I do now, I found out I passed through Pearson Vue on the net. Will the state board send stuff to me in the mail. Also can I start working before I get my actual licence??? Any help would be appreciated thanks. I live in Ohio if this matters.

Well, I just got a 4,000 dollar sign on bonus, they actually call it a school stipen, but you get the point. I get 500 up front, and 3500 after a year, not too bad in my opinion.

Also a bottle of lotion. You will wash your hands about a million times, so lotion will help keep them from drying out, especially in the winter.

I am a new grad who will be starting in the SICU next week. I was just wandering if anybody had any advice for me. Anything would be appreciated, such as a good reference book that I can buy to look stuff up in, and anything else that would be helpful Also what exactly I can expect, as right now I am just a little nervous (but excited at the same time).

I took my test on Thurs. at 3pm, it was over at about 5:30 or so, did it take the rest of you 48 hours from the beginning of the test, or the end, or doesen't this matter. Just want to find out an answer so I can get on with my weekend

I had 230. By about 200 I was plannin on being there for the long haul. I should know the results today. ssssooooooo nerve racking just waiting.

Well 45 days isn't too bad to wait. It makes me feel a little less stressed out. Let's just hope we passed
