  1. Hey guys, to all of you in the program...lots of luck! I honestly must say, now looking back, I'm glad I did it, but while I was in it, I thought it sucked. Probably the best advice is to surround yourself with positive people. It's too intense a program and goes by too fast, so don't study with or hang with a bunch of people who are constantly complaining about test questions or clinicals, and very soon you will see what I mean. Just move on, because just like high school, this will all be over and you won't see these people anymore. It's totally do-able, but it's a lot of work, but awesome and the faculty are always available, any time of day or night, so don't hesitate to get in touch with them if you need help. Once again, good luck.
  2. Lots of luck to you in the upcoming year....it's a difficult program and they will tell you that repeatedly in the first few months as you start the program too. I've just started the fourth quarter, it starts out pretty easy and you think to yourself, "what were they all talking about? This is cake." but wait, by the third quarter it really starts to hit you. Just make sure you study when you have time and enjoy this bit of time before you start. Again good luck, and start to look over anything and everything for the adult classes....diseases, pathophysiology, etc. it will be great info for those classes that come up quick.
  3. Got it, you're pretty close to me. I sent it to you as well, I'm going to the Sunday session too. I was born and raised here, so I know where you are, pretty much right around the corner. Heard of Overbrook High school?
  4. About 20 mins from Philly, sorta by Cherry Hill, familiar w/ that area? How about you?
  5. Hey, I was thinking of doing the MSN thing, but I was told by a prof who has her MD to go with UMDNJ. Something about they don't require a test, that a lot of other places do...She said to start looking into it about 6 mths into our program at Drexel. Nicole
  6. So I guess I fall in line w/ the others and have to say I never thought I'd be doing this. I wanted to teach ever since I can remember. I graduated w/ my psych degree and got my elem. edu cert. I substitute taught for two yrs and decided I didn't want to wait any more for a job. So, I did what any othe 23 yr old would do, I told my parents I was gonna stick around for another year or two and am going for another degree. They were shocked, but here I am, about to start Drexel's ACE program this fall. Good luck everyone.
  7. I don't know exactly how quickly you need to know this stuff, but I'm including a link to a site that has 4 different places to go to. There are various sites from each place to go to web sites w/ games, visuals, diagrams, etc. This helped me and my last a&p class. Hope it helps. http://www.getbodysmart.com/ap/site/menu/animation.html Bottom right of the above page are the 4 links to the other sites. Good luck.
  8. hey all, I am also starting the program this fall and am glad to see there are others I get to talk to ahead of time. The only thing that's freaking me out a bit is the money. Also, anyone from Jersey? Hopefully we'll be in touch.
