  1. Just read your post and I have a suggestion. My suggestion is to have the nurses to write the pt's name and room number or pt's last 4 digit of ss# on the label of the tube in ink. That way if the blood got sent with out a label it is easy identifiable.
  2. Update, I got a job. I am currently attending orientation. I am so excited. I was hired to work on a post op med surg floor. Will be glad to actually do patient care.
  3. Hi, VegRN2Be what is your secret? I have yet to get offered a job. I have had 3 interviews. The last one was yestereday. Was told they would call me by next week to let me know. Was told they had 23 position to fill. I pray I gt it.
  4. Birmingham.
  5. thanks
  6. Are you located in Alabama? If so, you can get your results from the bon website. They have quick results now. i don't know about the bon working weekends or holidays but i would check the bon website and see anyway after the 48 hours wait.
  7. I thought I could not get a new grad internship because I got my temp license and worked under the temp license.
  8. I was just wondering, how long does it take you to find a job as a rn after you get your license. I got my license 7/16/2006. Here's my story.............. I graduated 2005. I worked under a temporary license for 2 months. I sat for the NCLEX 08/2005 and didn't pass. I informed the hospital I was working for and informed them that I wanted to take the necessary time to study for the exam without working. One year later I pass the NCLEX. I was so happy. I thought that the day would never come. Now I have my permanent nursing license. I have applied for numerous positions. I have had 2 interviews. I thought the interviews went great. Both employers I interviewed with, spoke as if i had the position. The first employer told me she had to look and see with shifts she had available and to call back by friday if I haven't heard anything back from her. I have called and called yet I haven't heard anything. It's been a month. The second interview hasn't been that long. It has been right at a week today. I have another interview in September. I hope that one goes good and they offer me a position. I called the temp service for nurses and was told that they require 2 years experience. Right before sitting for the test, I signed up with a temp agency. I am currently working a mail order pharmaceutical company during data entry which pays $11/hour. I don't know what to do. I would like to find a job close to my house but right now I am just wanting to get some experience. I feel like I am an undesirable employee. When will i find a job? I need a job. I am trying to keep the faith but it is getting hard.
  9. Congrats on your new job. I hope, you will like it.
  10. Good morning, I understand what you are going thru. I took the nclex 3 times and passed on my third try. On the first and second letters from nclex each category said near passing standard. I google for nclex review and found Suzanne study tips. I did her study tips, along with Lippincott's nclex question book and nclex review 3500 cd. In the past, I just study the review books and did not do a lot of study questions. This time I did alot of questions (about 5000) with Suzanne's study tips. I also prayed and fast. That must have done it for me because July 16, 2006 I checked bon website and found out that I passed. So, keep the faith. You will pass also. I know you will.
  11. I feel your pain. I graduated in 2005. I just recently got my nursing license almost a month ago and I haven't found a job yet. I have had one interview with the hiring manager of an ER department and haven't heard anything yet. I have called twice and still no reply. I interview 2 weeks ago. I thought the interview went well. I have only applied at 4 hospitals and only one called with an interview. I also thought, it would be easy to find a job. I thought that within 2 weeks I would have a job working as a nurse.
  12. congrats. you did it
  13. Way to go new nurse. You the NURSE.
