  1. Hi there! I am 39 and a widow with 2kids ages 12yrs and 3yrs. I already work in a hospital as a tech so when my husband passed away last year and I realized I couldn't raise my girls on what I make as a tech it was just natural for me to go back to school and get my RN. I go to school Mon thru Thurs and work three 12hr shifts on Fri-Sat-Sun. I have no idea when I sleep! LOL!!!! Good luck to use all!!!! Irish
  2. I am just starting classes this summer to catch up to the point where I can start taking my prereq's LOL! I am a recently widowed 39yr old mother of 2 girls and already work in a hospital but can't raise my girls on what I make as a CS Tech so off to school I go! The thing that scares me though is how hard it is to get into a nursing program here in Oregon! I know right off the bat I am going to have to pull a 4.0 on everything and even then it's still competing with 100's of applicant's for only 20-50 spots. Not to mention the money drain. I'm doing this all on my own with no support from anyone financial or emotional so I thought I would pop in here and say hi. HI!
