  1. $11.00/hr not acceptable at all! Especially being the fact that we hold so much responsibility for our pts. and keeping our license. I do think our CNAs should start off way more than they do. They work their butts off. The type of work and salary doesn't match.
  2. 1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX? NCLEX PN 85! 2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course? Kaplan, Mosby Nclex review and my school's NCLEX Review book. 3. Did your SON offer any testing (ERI, ATI, HESI)? No 4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? 24-48hrs 5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? Total disbelief, thought I failed. 6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX? Yes.
  3. I'm scheduled to take my NCLEX PN boards next month, i'm nervous....Any advice out there from experience with the Nclex PN?
  4. So how is this helping the nursing shortage again?.......
  5. I'm in a 12mth LPN program and I graduate in Feb 2007. I've been doing good so far and pass my first two exams in Med surg w/flying colors, except we have a comprehensive exam after each unit we pass to see our level. The first exam was fundamentals,I failed it.I was so depressed and down. We get to retake our exams but if I don't pass I get pushed back and graduate late. I've been doing so well, I need some encouragement.
  6. I'm currently attending a 12mth LPN program. Its very fast paced so be prepared. My school set up the subjects we do into units. I have school M-T and clinicals twice a wk. The first unit is A&P, then fundamentals, med-surg,ob/peds, mental health and geriatrics. I graduate next feb. Its now getting stressful b/c we are into med surg and doing care plans. Good luck to u
  7. Thanks for the posts, I was actually thinking of working in a correctional facility when I graduate next yr as a LPN. I may still consider it.
