  1. Hello! I just graduated with my ASN (and passed my boards last week!! Woo-hoo!!) Anyway, I am starting Monday at St. Vincent's in the ER. Their starting wages for new grads is $20 before boards and then $20.50 after you pass. I think the shift differentials are 17% for nights and 15% for weekends (or visa versa). I am getting a modest sign on bonus for night shift. I'm not sure what Clarian is offering, but Community North was $19.50 with about $4 for night shift and 3 something for weekends. If that sounds bad, you should hear what the hospital I worked at for 4 years in the ER offered me as a nurse. . . $13 before boards and $16 after. $1 night shift differential and $2 weekend. This hospital is about 1.5 hours north of Indianapolis, and are losing nurses left and right (gee, wonder why?). Hope that helped you out some. Good luck! Heather
  2. As a new grad in North Central Indiana I was offered $13.74 before the NCLEX and $16.47 after the NCLEX. This was for the ER that I've worked in for 4 years. Needless to say, I shopped around and got something better. I start at a hospital in Indy in a couple of weeks that is $20 before and $20.50 after with a good night/weekend differential. Definitely makes the 1 hr drive worth it. Heather
  3. Hello all. I just recently got a job in the ER at St. Vincent's in Indianapolis. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the hospital? From what I know (and from what they are offering me) it sounds like it is going to be a GREAT opportunity. I've worked in a small ER for the past 4 years as an EMT/ ER Tech and am a bit nervous about moving up to a much bigger ER. I would appreciate any information or tips anyone has. Thanks! Heather
