~~~A&P 1 (winter/spring) Club~~~
Hi there, I have taken online classes at my previous University, and I loved it alot. They're the same amount of time that you would normally spend in a semester. Depending in the class you have to summit lessons every week. you'll have to be a very organized person, and you have to set a few hours a week to submit work via asyncronous. Also, though I loved the online experience, I would never take a Mathematics course of any sort online, nor would I take any Biological sciences. They are rigorous courses, and would prefer to take them in the classroom. Ex of classes I take online: Sociology psychology anthropology or any other classes where lots of reading need to be done. Any way I just had to post this thread for you to realize that a course like A&P is very rigorous. Thanks!
Soon to be student - Advise please
hello, Well I want to let you know first of if you're 37 yrs you're not that old. Education do not have an age limit, be proud of what you're doing. I'm not a nurse as yet, but I've doing alot of research for myself and reading alot of these threads. It seems as if there are lots of programs out there that could help you like the one you mentioned, but I think you have to be a junior Nursing student in other to be qualified? There might be someone else to give you more insights, but I just wanted to say your age is not a barrier for accomplishing your goals. I'm a single mother with 2 daughters, I have been in school forever. I have change my majors many times, and now I decided to go with nursing. It is very difficult but I'm not giving up. School in general takes a while but at the end it will be well worth it. I wish you good luck on your journey to become a nurse.
Bccc
Hi, The Nursing program in Bccc is very competitive. In other to enter into the program you have to complete all prerequisite courses with a "c" or better but I would advice you to study hard and be able to get at least "B" in all the prerequisite especially the Biological Sciences. You have to complete all courses before you can be accepted to the Nursing Program. The courses to be completed are as follows: Sociology 101 Psychology 101 Math 111 or any eligible college Math Psychology 103 English 101, 102 Bio 110 is the prerequisite for Bilology 220 and Bio 221 Speech communication101 Microbiology 230 While you're in Microbiology 230 you can apply to the Nursing by filling out a selected admissions aplication. Hope this info helped you. Good Luck.
