  1. Hi all, To all EC grads or those in the program, I was wondering how long you studied for an exam. Did you take an exam every month, every 2 months, etc. ? I have to take most of the prereq's and all of the NC exams of course. How did you divide up the load? I'd like to be done in 2 years. I'd appreciate any advice.
  2. Hi all, I'll be starting with EC for my ASN. To the grads of EC, I was wondering if you took one exam at a time or took two . I have to take most of the preq's and of course all of the NC, etc. How long did you study for each exam ? 1 month, 2months....
  3. Hi all, I'm an LPN from Maine. Here LPN's are not allowed to do MDS. I had started to help our MDS co-ordinator in our LTC facility and had to stop. The State stated it was an "assessment" and could not be performed by an LPN. Has anyone else experienced this with the MDS? Our MDS nurse is retiring in a few years and so I've decided to go back to school for my RN. Not a choice I wanted. I am perfectly happy as an LPN, but in order to take over I need the RN behind my name.
  4. Hi, I am from Northern Maine and for me to go to the closest Prometric center I would have had to drive 4 hours each way. I called EC, they put me through to Andrew Sherman. He is the Testing Operations Manager. He had me contact a local college to see if they would agree to proctor my exams. He did not recommend a library or adult ed as he preferred that it was an accredited college that proctored my exams. Lucky for me, a local university 1/2 hour away agreed, through their ITV site. The director gave me her info : name ,phone #, address at the college, also e-mail address. I forwarded the info to Andrew at EC and he took care of setting everything up. Contact EC they'll help you.
