Houston hospitals
M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is a great hospital... supportive of their nurses. they pay 100% of my grad school tuition/fee and books. the best patient/nurse ratio... for solid tumor units 4:1 and for hematology units 2-3:1. also, they offer competitive pay (especially for new grads- not sure what it is, but this is what i've heard from the new grads) and excellent benefits. i've worked here for almost 7 years and have no plans of leaving. you can look it up at http://www.mdanderson.org along with Sloan-Kettering, it is the number one cancer hospital in the world. good luck to you.

need help: quick resume question
my area of study is adult nurse practitioner. i only have 1 more year left (the clinical portion). hence, the critical need for flexibility. i was hesitant to put it on my resume, since it may seem that the position i am applying for will only be temporary for me. however, i am not hiding it... i am sure they will ask why i am seeking to be in the float pool... in which i was going to tell them that i needed flexibility since i was a grad student. still i am unsure... do you think it may hurt my chances of getting the position? missjorn, you have a point... thank you for your insight.

need help: quick resume question
i am a graduate student getting my master's at the moment. i am updating my resume because i may need to seek another position with flexible hours(maybe in the float pool, where i can make my own schedule). anywho... my question is: should i put my current graduate studies in the school section of my resume?

difference between MSN and MS degrees
thank you. that was very helpful. btw, i did ask my dean... she wanted me to find out myself. so, i tried google search. i only came up with a listing of school and master's program. so, when i emailed her that i couldn't find it... she said that it had only been 4 hours from the time i asked her. it's just like her to make me look for the answer on my own. isn't she great?!

difference between MSN and MS degrees
some master nursing graduates earn MSN degrees and other MS degrees depending on the school. my dean in my nursing graduate program corrected me and said that there is a difference. I will be earning an MS degree (god willing), not an MSN. I wanted to see if anyone can give me some insight. I tried searching for the differences to no avail. thanks in advance.
