  1. less stress? which one? engineering or nursing?? i know you prolly mean engineering..but just asking..
  2. just curious, are there any nurses out there that used to be an engineer? or were pursuing engineering before switching to nursing? or planning to pursue engineering in the future?
  3. it seems people have abandoned this thread for the homophobic one..lol.
  4. phew*....i am not alone.. =]
  5. thanks for the suggestion. and i found it nice that you took note of the detaili wrote about my little sister.. i included orginially to give explanation in case anyone wondered why i cant get a part-time now.... but i never saw picking her up as a perpetual problem...somebody else would have to be forced to pick her up...at any rate, thanks again for the suggestion. the first few who replied to this thread didnt think someone interested in biomedical engineering like me wouldnt have any desire in helping people...
  6. a skill i will never master: watch someone bleed do death.lol at any rate, surgery vids are awesome!! :w00t: [except lipo..dude, that is so sickening to watch..]
  7. SALIVA?!?..lol..that's new.
  8. lol...i was fearing that...in fact, i was contemplating putting "afraid of blood" instead of hemophobia...because i felt it's prolly gonna get misread..and apparently, it did. at any rate, i guess maybe t's good i put hemophobia. catches people's eyes. lol.
  9. and i always thought that you have to be able to stomach all forms of wounds, blood, and needles before you even think of going into nursing.
  10. that is exactly what i am trying to avoid most: the cost of time. which i guess i'll be forced to pay if nothing else works out.....
  11. i know i cant provide much help..im not even a nurse.. but just wanted to share something... ..my best friend had a liver transplant when she was small..... the prospect of her not getting a liver transplant is something i am always thankful never happened...and so i can relate a little with your apprehension. the wait become more heartbreaking knowing there are more patients than donors, and other complications like yours... i really do pray that'll your boyfriend will get a liver transplant soon. =[
  12. wow,..that's, erm,..nice....i can never see myself and my best friend sticking needles on each other....that scene is actually a little amusing
  13. and oh,.thank you to the three people so far who took whatever little or much time to answer my curiousities....^_____^
  14. good job...and good luck with the rest of your nursing school left!!
