  1. I LOVE House and Grey's Anatomy. I have also never missed an episode of ER in the 11 years it has been on---alothough I think its time for it to move on--most of the characters have left and it has gotten kind of boring..... Another one--Nip/Tuck on FX channel. It is very "interesting" at times but I also love watching the plastic surgery cases!
  2. kishykat- Did you have all your other classes out of the way before you started with the nursing classes? Where did you do your clinicals? I got my schedule for the fall. It looks like the first 3 weeks are going to be very busy with the basic skills labs.
  3. I thought the math on NET was very easy--just the basic math-multiplication, fractions, figuring percentages. I had a harder time with the timed reading of the passages and then answering the questions. I kept looking at my time left and it made me nervous.
  4. Fortunately, I had applied back in 2001, and they still had that old application (they go by your application date). I had to retake my science classes, so that is what I have been doing the past year and a half. I took the NET test last fall, and then I got my letter that I was accepted into the Fall 2006 class. Alot of people do go the LPN route, because there is such a wait. I am very excited to finally start! Wendy
  5. Has anyone here graduated from the Penn Valley ADN program or currently a student? I finally get to start my nursing classes in the fall (it's been a long wait). I am very excited but it would be nice to talk to others that have been in it or are currently in the program. I am doing the weekday classes and was curious about the time involved as far as classes/clinicals etc. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, Wendy
  6. Since I have taken everything else-I will only need the nursing classes, so it will be part time. Except for the Fall, I will also be taking Microbiology. Also, Just a suggestion before you take your science classes--If you think you might be interested in getting your BSN in the future, you might want to take CHEM 105 instead of cellular biology AND the separate courses of Anatomy and Physiology. Thats what I did-it takes a little longer, but you will be much more prepared. AND you will find the chemistry will much better prepare you for Physiology. One of my lab partners in physiology just finished the LPN program and is trying to do the bridge program in the fall. She loved it.
  7. I am starting the Penn Valley RN program in the Fall. It has been a LONG wait. But now I am excited to start. I have a Bachelors degree in Physical Education/Exercise Physiology but I also had to retake all my science courses because they were too old. I have been taking those at Longview for the past year. I checked into most of the BSN programs in Kansas City, but after talking to the advisor at Penn Valley, it seemed like a better idea to do their ADN program. I have 3 kids, so the time requirements for the other programs kind of worried me. Plus, the cost of the other programs would have required me to take out a student loan. Good luck with the LPN program. Wendy
