In Search of Nursing Schools......
Hi All!! I'm a very recent transplant to Albuquerque from Houston and am in search of ALL nursing schools either via community college, technical institutes and universities. I have a bachelor's in Finance, but cannot stand corporate and have always wanted to do nursing. Coming from Houston, I'm use to having MANY nursing schools at the tip of my fingers, however, the timing was all wrong for me to apply to the program as I found out I was pregnant and had a baby. :) Now that I'm here in ABQ and my little one is going to be 1 yr, I feel I am ready. One of my clients back in Houston (who is now a hospital administrator) said nursing programs are super difficult to get into and it's best to try ALL avenues to get into nursing school if need be. He was wait listed and rejected many times over so he decided to get his LVN, then RN, then finished with rest of the classes and received a BSRN and now he has completed his masters and is now a hospital administrator. Good for him!!!! He had to take the back route, but made it and is doing well!! I'm familiar with UNM's accelerated route, however, I am keeping all of my options open. So, with this said, can you please make a list of nursing schools in Albuquerque ONLY..... those offering LVN, RN (associates) and BSRN?? Your help is greatly appreciated! :)

Has anyone gone thru www.eline.tamucc.edu to get their RN degree?
Hi there!! Ok another question here! I reside in Houston and am interested in this program and read that the closest location for clinicals is in College Station--right? :) My question is---How frequent are these clinicals and if a location doesn't get set up here in Houston---how often/frequent would one have to commute to College Station and for how long? Any ideas? Eeek! Any info. is greatly appreciated! :)

Newbie Here! Question about: DelMar eLine Classes
Great! Thank you both for getting back to me with useful information. It's unfortunate that it's so tedious to set something up somewhere in Medical Center as Houston has the largest Medical Center in Texas and one of the largest in the United States. Medical Center would be preferable for me, byt Humble is OK too! I don't care really, but I suppose I need to worry about applying and getting in. You have been a great help and I will keep you posted as to the outcome. By the way, where were you able to take pathophysiology in Houston or did you have to take it at TAMU-CC online? I'm sure I'll have more questions as time progresses as well! :) Smiles!

Newbie Here! Question about: DelMar eLine Classes
Wow!! Ok, so it IS real! Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! I really appreciate your input! Good luck with the courses in which you start htis summer! :) Please keep us posted as to how you're doing. So, did the eOnline advisor give you any indications that something will be set up for you for the clinicals/preceptor in the Houston area?? Or do you have to search for it yourself? In any case, Congratulations on your acceptance to the program. It sounds promising! :)

Newbie Here! Question about: DelMar eLine Classes
I already have a BS in Finance and am considering a second in BS in Nursing. I'm very interested in the Del Mar program out of Corpus Christ via online---I currently reside in Houston. The website mentions they will help set up a preceptor/clinical in our local area. Anyone in Houston that's in enrolled in this program and completing their clinicals in the Houston area? For those of you who are enrolled in the BS program online---are you satisfied thus far? Any information is greatly appreciated! :)
