OMG...Please Read!!!
I graduated from LVN school almost 4 years ago this December. I have taken my NCLEX-PN 5 times and failed :angryfire. This last time was the sixth time I took it. I live in Texas and here we have 4 years from time we graduate to take and pass NCLEX. B/C it was almost 4 years I took my test Nov. 3rd and that was actually the last day on my ATT. I am so I found out today at work:typing that I passed. I had to keep looking at the website to make sure I wasnt dreaming. My heart has been beating :heartbeat so fast with joy. I have to definately Thank GOD b/c I prayed literally through my whole 205 question test. I want to thank my family, Suzanne and every one here on all nurses for your support and encouraging stories. You guys just dont know how happy I am. Again thank you all. Dreams can come true. Erin, LVN:nurse:

My Saunders cd won't work on my Mac Book!
What I did to have mines run was right click on the icon and run program as aministrator, then you will get something asking you if you want it to run, select yes and then it works fine. You do have to do this every time you use it to get it to work. I have a Compaq and it is new and thats what I do and I'm able to use my Saunder's Cd. Hope this helps:)

my SAUNDERS CD
I have a Compaq and it would download the Saunder's CD but not show anything on it. What i do to make mines work is right click the icon on my desktop and then select to run as administrator, then you will get something asking you if you want to allow the cd to run, just select yes and then it works fine. I do have to do this everytime i want to use it but it works for me. Please let me know if this helps.

Finding out if you passed NCLEX in Texas
You can also go to the Texas Board of Nursing website https://www.bne.state.tx.us/index.html and check if they have issued you a license. Its free there you just click the link verify a license online and choose how you want to verify it...by lic #, SS#, or name.

Failed NCLEX yesterday
You can send in your paper work but you will not receive ATT until after you are eligible to test again. Good Luck and stay positive!

How to retake NCLEX????
I'm not too sure but i think it depends on the state you aree testing. I know in Texas you would have to repay the registration for the test of $200 and repay for the application fee as well. As long as your finger print cards, passport photo, and your affidavit from your director of your program isn't over a year old then you just have to pay the $200 for the test and send application with the application fee. If all of you things are over a year you would have to send in new finger print cards, passport photo, and affidavit signed by your director of nursing from the school which you graduated from. but like I said I don't know about other states. You can always call your SBON and ask them they will be more than happy to share with you what all you have to do. Well hope this helps and Good Luck!

Failed 3X
Well I graduated in December 2004 and I have had the hardest time with the NCLEX. I'm a mother of three who are 2,3, and 4 now this month. I went through school pregnant and could have dropped out like most people but kept on fighting and made it through. I did great in school to my suprise and for some reason I cannot pass the NCLEX-PN. It's making me doubt my ability and making me feel like I'm dumb when I'm around family and friends. It's very embarrising to have to tell them each time that I FAILED:sniff:. Right after I graduated I scheduled to take my test...I was so prepared and then the day before I took my test I found out my oldest daughter who was two at the time was deaf. I was devistated but GOD helped me through that obsticle but now that my family is dealing with that issue what is stopping me from passing. I am truely scared and does anyone have any advice to give me please. I'm almost desperate to know what I should do. I don't want to give up on nursing but it seems like I have no other choice. I'm sorry to leave such a long message but any advice would be greatly appreciated. I thank you for listening and all of your time
