Hi! I just want to ask anyone out there that has heard or worked in St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham regarding their working environment. Are the nurse well treated and are they getting fair wage? Plan to move their next summer and i dont want to accept the job offer yet unless I am sure that I will land in a good hospital.

Hi! I was given an assignment in Sedona, AZ. Can anyone tell me what it's like to be living in Sedona? Climate, community, people, etc. Is $23/hr fair enough? I will be working in Kochina Point Health Center and Rehab. I asked my employer to transfer me to Tucson or Phoenix instead, but no reply yet. Guess I will just have to depend on your inputs as of now. Been searching apartments at rent.com and they don't post any. I can only find apartments in Tucson and Phoenix areas and they are really beautiful with complete ammenities at a low price :)

Hello! Finally got a letter from the embassy and I will have my medical exam on the 15th. Does anyone knows what documents should I bring to St. Luke's? I'll be arriving in Manila around 8 am and plan to go directly to St. Lukes. What is the best time to go there to finish the exam? Any tips for my interview too? I'll be going there sith my kid. :)

But who are really affected by the retrogression? I am waiting for my new interview date and I fear that I might be included in the casualties of this retrogression. Some say you are not to worry once your papers are in the embassy already while my agent told me that as long as you did not get to be interviewed, you won't be spared. Would that mean that my papers will be stranded in the embassy's office for the next 3 - 5 years? That's how long they project retrogression to last. I'm really confused.

thanks for the input. My husband and I have been separated but not legally. I choose to delay the processing of annulment so I could still nclude him as my dependent. It's purely for my kid's future that I am really after. I know that when you get divorced in the US, both parents must give certain amount for the kid every month which is computed by the court till he reach 18 yo.I just wanna make sure that his status as an immigrant won't be affected. Besides, getting divorce in the US is way easier than in my country :)

I am from Negros an island beside Cebu :). Don't know if I will be working on a night shift but I really hope so. At least all I need is someone to share with the apartment and who is not working at night time so that she could stay with my son. I will just pray that things will turn out ok for me and my kid. Hello! I just want to ask those signle moms how they are able to manage working in the hospital and taking care of their kid? Who takes care of your kid while you are out to work? How much do you pay? I will soon go to California and my son is my biggest problem as of the moment. I am really concerned about his own welfare and how I am going to be able to care for him. Had the same feeling when I took mine. Got 265 questions and most are drugs and devices. I thought I didn't make it but I did. After 3 weeks of waiting for the result, I finally pass! Think positive, and most of all, pray. Hope things would turn out in your favor

It's been 3 long weeks of waiting for my result. Thought I didn't make it because I got 265 questions and most of them I haven't heard of. But finally, the result is in and I pass! I can't believe I pass. I cried in disbelief! God is really good! Thanks to all of you who consoled me during those 3 weeks that I agonizingly waited for the result. I'm glad I don't have to go through that again . For the rest of you still waiting, don't despair. Just pray pray pray!

Hi! Took my NCLEX last july 27 and until now I haven't receive my exam result yet. Finished at 265 items in 6 hours, guess that means I flunk the test. Been checking Ca BON license verification link to see if my name will appear but the result is always zero. Now I am so depressed and anxious. I just hope Ca BON will enroll with Pearson Vue in the Quick Result to spare the nurses from the agony of waiting.

Thanks for your reply. I think Bakersfield is a place for me judging from your description. I am a single parent with 1 kid and a safe environment is my utmost priority. Now my problem is who would watch over my son while I go on duty. I hope there are inexpensive day care centers available over the place, and may be nice babysitters too.

I requested for a new appointment date already from the Embassy Hotline. Ask for an Appointment date on August 2006. I set a new appointment date because my employer will not send me job offer and verification of employment plus my visa screen unless I pass the NCLEX. As of now I am still waiting for my letter of Eligibility from Ca BON (they are just so slow in processing applications). Anyway for those who are not yet complete with documents you can call the hotline and they just need you to give them your case number, address, priority date and they will arrange for a new appointment for you. No hassle whatsoever

I already requested for a new appointment date. My agent however, insistted that I go on the date specified on my appointment letter and will not opt to reschedule my appointment date per lawyer's advice. I don't see the point why not. Besides all the required document from my employer will only be sent to me after I pass tyhe NCLEX. Until now I am still waiting for the Letter of Eligibility from Ca BON. Will making a request for a new appointment date cause me big trouble? Please let me know how you made the request and how long the embassy respond to your request. Thank you

I just received a note from my agent that I am going to have my interview at the US embassy on May 3. What are the things that I need to prepare prior to my interview? Do I have to go to St. Luke's for my medical check up at my own date or do I have to get an appointment first? Please help. thanks :)

Thanks for your reply. I just have to pray hard and study harder so I could pass the NCLEX. They told me the exam is so difficult and that scares me. Btw, do you have any idea how am I be able to contact Ca BON to confirm my papers? I emailed them more than a month ago but they never replied. Thanks!:)

Hi! I am now waiting for my interview schedule but my problem is that my employer recently demanded that I should pass the NCLEX otherwise they will not issue a sponsorship paper for me to bring during my interview and would eventually revoke their sponsorship. I applied for NCLEX only this FEB and until now I haven't received my Letter of Eligibility from Ca BON. My fear is that my interview might be set 3rd quarter of this year. If ever they will revoke their sponsorship granting I did not pass the NCLEX and I choose to sign up with a new employer would this mean that I have to start processing my petition again from the very beginning or will my current petition remain applicable for my new sponsor? Please help.

I submitted my NCLEX application last Feb '06. It's already april and I still haven't received my eligibility to take the test. Is Ca BON really that slow? How can I check if they have received all the documents I sent them including that from my school? Can anyone explain? Thanks
