  1. I just went through COT in Jan/Feb and will be stationed at SAMMC also. I'm just finishing up NTP. Feel free to PM me if you have questions!
  2. littlemissfit, I was selected for the NTP program also and my recruiter is saying the same thing as yours. Maybe they changed the process this year? I'm leaving for COT in Jan also.
  3. I would definitely be interested in joining that Facebook group - please let me know if/when you set it up? Thank you!
  4. Congrats, Marisol! I lived in Eagle River (suburb of Anchorage) for 4 years. I went to nursing school in AK and did some of my clinicals at JBER Hospital. Alaska is a beautiful place to be. As of right now, my assignment is to San Antonio. Unfortunately it didn't go so well at MEPS this week and I'm currently in the process of applying for a Surgeon General's waiver. Hoping and praying it goes through!
  5. Congrats, Marisol! Any idea where your duty station is yet?
  6. Anybody else get their assignment yet? My recruiter just told me I am going to San Antonio. I am hoping it is a Join Spouse assignment with my hubby!
  7. Most of us going to COT Jan 11? Awesome! Looking forward to meeting you all!
  8. No assignment yet, but I just found out that I'm starting COT on Jan. 11. Anyone else with me?
  9. Thanks, jojo. That link was very helpful and put me more at ease.
  10. My recruiter said assignments should come out in the next few weeks. I don't have much info on MEPS but I'm wondering what the fail items are too! Congrats on getting selected!
  11. Congratulations, littlemissfit!
  12. Congrats, Katherine!!! This is so exciting! I believe I requested January.
  13. Congrats jojo! I just found out I was selected too!!!
  14. Today? Really? My recruiter emailed me yesterday saying the results come out Aug. 3. Good luck and can't wait to hear!
  15. Hi Camo-angel! I also just had my Chief Nurse interview last week. Everything is turned in and I am going to MEPS at the end of June. Good luck to all applying!
  16. Everything turned in. Just waiting on my Chief Nurse interview, which I am nervous for!
  17. Hi! I'm also applying this summer for NTP (Med-Surg). Good luck to you!
  18. Hi guys, To those who have submitted their resume/CV to their recruiters - is it true you do not submit previous work experience on the resume? My recruiter said to just fill out the example CV with my information, which only includes RN information. Since I am a new grad, there is not much on there….just seems strange to me.
  19. I have not heard anything about numbers. I haven't done the medical exam or interview yet either - I'm still turning in paperwork and getting letters of recommendation! As for Alaska, we were stationed at JBER from 2008 - 2012. I felt it was a challenging assignment (as a spouse) mostly because of the cold and darkness. Many people who get stationed in Alaska love it and there are many fun things to do there that are unique - halibut fishing, glaciers, Ice Sculpture Festival in Fairbanks, etc. I attended nursing school in Alaska and did clinicals at JBER - I really loved the hospital and the people! If you have any questions about Alaska in general, please feel free to ask!
