Hi everyone! Can somebody give some suggestions about these labs results, please! WBC high 17.2 Hemoglobin high 17.3 Neutrophils high 83 Lymphs low 12 Neutrophils (absolute) high 14.0 Glucose (serum) high 117 WBC Esterase abnormal 1+ Glucose abn. trace WBC abn Cholesterol, Total high 224 LDL Cholest. high 161 Dr. checked the Labs, circled the Glucose/serum and recommended diet and classes for DMII . He did not bother about the other results. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you very much.
  3. Yes, same in the state of MD. All LPNs who worked in the hospital setting, were removed...to LTC. Good luck to you.
  4. I am a LPN and work P/T (QO weekend) in LT facility, but often I've been asked to work 36-40 hr/week, with the same hourly pay. Should I consider these working hours during week, when facility asked me to work, PRN or PER DIEM? Should I asked them to pay me an increased hourly pay as PER DIEM? or should I keep my mouth close, considering that in Jan, 2012, I will start RN clinical, and I need flexibility in my schedule, too. Thank you un advance for some of your suggestions
  5. To report him to the BON you will NOT be anonymous. Everybody from your facility will know that YOU are the one that did the report. The administration and DON should take "measures" for this nurse. What he did is not acceptable. Certainly, this is not one mistake, it's a "premeditate" "mistake - he signed on the MAR and not given the procrit. Premeditated. Was he informed, or did he know about the other d/c med??? I will not accept this kind of behavior if he would be my colleague. I may not report him to the BON, but I will have a conversation with him and and I will be very "frank" with him. He needs to have consenquence, otherwise he will continue sneaking around
