  1. I highly recommend working as a CNA during school. I recently graduated and passed my Boards. I worked as an NA for the last 2 years of school. Not only did I benefit from the experiences of the job, but I am now working on the same unit. I have the support of the staff and have wonderful hours.
  2. 1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX? 157. 2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course? Kaplan review and ERI 3. Did your SON offer any testing (ERI, ATI, HESI)? Our school uses ERI 4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? I took my test on Sat. and received the results on Monday. 5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? Bought books on the way home to study for my second attempt at NCLEX. It was brutal. 6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX? yes....I passed.
  3. I am working in a med/surg split unit. 1/2 acute care and 1/2 restorative care. I began working there as an aide 2 years ago after clinical rotation. Take boards in 2 weeks but began orientation last week. I am so fortunate to be with a wonderful staff. They have encouraged and supported me throughout school. Hopefully this will make the transition from student to nurse a not so terrifying experience.....
