  1. I thought this was more about nursing sayings. We always used the saying "FIM" in the ICU for patients that were "rutsy" or pulling out tubes and getting out of bed, disoriented and combative. It means "Fart in a Mitten" I have no idea where is came from.
  2. When I started the security staff made almost what I did. After I started int he ICU..even with differenctial, they still made only $1.00 less per hour than I did. So much for a nursing shortage
  3. Here is another link. http://www.awolspirit.com/
  4. I have heard there are bars starting this in Europe, but could not find the article I read it in. Couple of articles on google about inhaled Alcohol. http://www.gizmag.com/go/2633/ not that I would try it...think about A little Tequila neb.
  5. Life in the ED is the greatest....How many times have you had the chance to care for a huffer with a blue face (from the paint). You walk in and look at them and say " I see you are feeling a little blue", or whistle "it ain't easy being green" while cleaning the green paint fromt he guy who wanted to know what it would be like to change his color. All the jail clearances for people who always state "I wasn't doin nuthin" with multiple felony charges against them. Playing guess the BA.
