  1. Update: I got a call from the nursing department and they said a seat has become available so I am very excited! Now I have to take care of my BCLS and physical exam. Thank you Lord! The NLN was pretty tough although the practice book helped a lot! Just practice the questions and time yourself once you're ready. What I did was go through all the practice sections without timing myself and then do the comprehensive exams and that allowed me to pace myself for the real thing. A lot of physics were on the exam like ohms and circuits which isn't covered in the review so study that. The reading is time consuming and they purposefully make the passages boring so stay focused, the math is basically the same as what is in the review, simple too. Good luck and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
  2. I didn't apply to other schools in time but now I'm thinking of Stonybrook. I got a 130 on my NLN which put in in the 91st percentile. The only thing hard about the exam was the timing since there are about 20 developmental/experimental questions they throw in in each section so you're sitting there trying to answer all of them since you have no idea which one counts or not.
  3. I applied last year and didn't get in and then applied again for the fall 2006 semester and got put onto the waiting list which I didn't like but figured it was better than nothing. But then I called the department today and the lady informed me that none of the students that were accepted elected to attend another school which means those of us on the list have no chance...
