  1. Speaking of not ticking off a nurse...this goes for doctors too!!! MD comes in and discusses evening dinner plans with his gf who's coming in for the weekend. Acts like an ass when a nurse asks him what restaurant he's going to. (it was somewhere where you have to know someone who knows someone to get reservations) SAME MD comes back a couple hours later, is informed by a different nurse about his pt's low urine o/p, bp, map, cvp, etc... and about the renal md's opinion of it. MD chooses to get up and walk out. Whoever would have guessed that him ignoring a patient's need would stimulate a call to the restaurant cancelling his evening plans? I can't imagine who would have done such a thing! Needless to say the next day he wasn't in the best mood. Who would've guessed?
