  1. i was in the same class as carmen and ilona. there are, imo, some big drawbacks to OU's ABSN program. i think mostly the problems stem from the overall lack of attention given to the ABSN students. you are expected to do many things on your own. also, i thought the cost was outrageous for the content provided - but i don't necessarily think that's a problem unique to the program. the upside? well, you do get done a lot faster. that was why i actually made the decision to go to OU. and don't get me wrong, i'm glad i did. it got me where i wanted to be in 10 months less time. if you're looking for a quality nursing education.....well, you do get done a lot faster in the OU ABSN program.
  2. thanks marilyn and kayte. i CLEPped Human Growth and Development yesterday (which was the last of my requirements), then mailed off my acceptance letter and deposit. i'm definitely stoked - i just need to find a way to make an extra 8K between now and june. it'll be a difficult year i'm sure, but should be well worth it in the end. thanks again.
  3. my first post here. just found out that i was accepted to OUHSC for the accelerated program starting in june. congrats to the others that got it, and i look forward to meeting you....
