I am a LPN, going on for my RN. Being a LPN is very limited and lower pay. I personal believe they should get rid of the LPN field all together. I only went into LPN because Rn school was a two year wait list. So if your in school do whatever you can to finish because it is so worth it.

I am an LPN and for the most part teach RN's alot and vice versa and it's sad because the initals behind my name I am prejude by people like you that I am not as good as a R.N. So I'll be doing distance learning because I have had real life experience. I find that people who have to tell everybody the degrees that they have earned feel in adequate for a reason. Just because you have a higher degree doesn't mean you make a better nurse. or if you sit in a class room or distance learning. I've seen good LPN's Good RN's. Also seen ones that don't care and are in it for the money. So you need to stop sticking your nose up at LPN's and distance learner!!!!!

I received my LPN in Mass. but recently moved to Hawaii. I just became employed and while going to orientation they keep informing me of tasks i can't do because I am a LPN even though I used to do these tasks in Mass. So my questions is where can I find info. that explains to me what my license covers because i thought if it was in my scope of practice I could perform the task??? any help would be appreciated.
