hi suzanne, i have a question as i'm a bit confused with the requirements for ny bon. i understand that i need to complete form 1 and then request for ces and cvs from cgfns. my question is, is it a requirement that i first become an rn in my own country before i can apply for nclex examination as stated in the cgfns handbook below? the credentials verification service for new york state is required for all foreign-educated registered nurses (rn), licensed practical nurses (lpn), physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, and occupational therapy assistants who are applying for a license to practice in the state of new york. the service independently collects and verifies the authenticity of your educational and licensing documents, which are then forwarded to the new york state education department to be evaluated as part of your new york state licensing application. my problem is that i just took the local liscensure for rn last june and sadly, i'm not so sure i passed it. hope anyone can help. thanks!
