  1. Insulin Before Dextrose or Vice Versa?

    Funnily enough, had a nephrologist tell us to push insulin prior to giving D50W (after checking a blood sugar) , because the dextrose my temporarily spike the potassium. This was after having a patient's HR drop form 70s to 80s down to low 30s while pushing D50W and insulin had not been given.
