  1. Anyone take LPN program just to make it easier to become RN?

    I just started the Excelsior program. Do you think you learn enough through this program to do well, out in the real world. I am worried about not having but a 3 day clinical experience. How long did it take you to finish? I just hope I am doing the right thing. I cant afford to take off work to go to RN school so I decided to try Excelsior. Please tell me it is the right thing to do?

    I dont know about mexico, but you can not hang tpn in MS. You should be able to ask the pharmacist of your local hospital about what you would be able to hang. They are usually very helpful in helping you out with these things. In MS we are not allowed to do IV's without an RN on the premises. If your not sure about what to do, the best thing for you is not to do it until you know for sure. Dont mess your license up for anyone. You worked too hard for them.
