Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse
Hello AliceKath, I would love to hear more about your experience regarding others moving over to the States particularly where they graduated from and in what nursing speciality? You had also kindly mentioned above your university was working with you in gaining varied placement exposure you need; which University did you study with please? It sounds they were very accommodating and helpful. What advice/tips did these agencies share with you please? I was curious if they may have mentioned which universities most UK nurses are able to easily transfer credits with, to the US. I would be incredibly grateful for your insight, thank you :)

Any UK nurse managed to work in the USA?
Hi Gwynxo, I would love to know where you graduated from please and in what speciality? and if your programme worked well when it came to transferring your credentials for US review? While going through the process, did you come across anyone from other UK nursing programmes who had more varied placements and found the credit transfer process easier? I am hoping to gather as much information on this as possible. Thanks so much, any insight would be incredibly helpful.

UK Staff nurse to US RN - is it possible?
Hi Ester, Thanks so much for posting your experience. If I may ask, I would love to know, which UK university you graduated from please, and what speciality you did? Do you think it was strictly the A&E placement that helped with the hour deficiencies in your transcript? Was this a placement you had requested with your uni? Looking back, do you feel your programme was a good fit when it came to transferring your credentials, and was your university helpful in arranging the required placement areas? And which US state were your credentials accepted in, and which credential agency did you used? While going through the process, did you come across anyone from other UK nursing programmes who had more varied placements and found the credit transfer process easier? Thanks so much, any insight you could kindly share would be incredibly helpful.

UK Nursing Student Wanting to Move to US
Hello, I know it's been a few years since your original post, but I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience if you don't mind sharing. This question is also to anyone else in this thread who could kindly share their view. It will be incredibly helpful to others hoping to make the move to the US. Which university did you graduate from, and how did you make up the missing hours? Looking back, do you feel your programme worked well when it came to transferring your credentials? I would also love to know which US state your credentials were accepted in, and which credential agency you used? While going through the process, did you come across anyone from other UK nursing programmes who had more varied placements and found the credit transfer process easier? UK to US nurse
Hello, I came across your post and hope someone was able to help with your query. I'm currently at the early stage of deciding which route to take, and I wanted to ask how your transcript review went. Would you mind sharing which university you graduated from, which nursing speciality you completed, and whether you would recommend it to someone hoping to practise in the United States, please? I would be very grateful to hear your experience. Thanks so much.

From UK Nursing Credits to US Credentials: Which UK Nursing Programme Gets You There?
Hello all, I'm considering studying a UK nursing degree with the aim of later practising in the US, as I have dual citizenship. I understand that UK nursing degrees can sometimes have deficiencies for US licensure due to early specialisation, but I've also seen that many UK trained nurses have successfully transferred their credits. For those who have gone through this process, I'd be incredibly grateful for your insight on: Which university did you graduate from, and which nursing course did you study? Would you recommend that university? if not, which UK university and programme would you kindly recommend? Did the university help with detailed transcripts, clinical hour breakdowns, and suitable placements? Which nursing specialty and degree length would you recommend for someone planning to move to the US? What placements should I request to strengthen my transcript? Do US nursing boards focus more on clinical hours, modules studied, or both? Would a US placement help if the university offers international placements? Is it possible to arrange additional university approved clinical placements during holiday periods to strengthen transcripts and increase clinical hours for US licensure purposes? Or would privately arranged placements be counted officially? Does the university's name, reputation, or ranking matter when credits are reviewed or when seeking employment in the US? Which US state did you eventually secure employment in? How long did you prepare for the US licensing exam, and how did you find it? What other advice would you give someone planning to study nursing in the UK before relocating to the US? Thank you so much for any guidance you can share, your insight would be incredibly helpful.
