Not true. I'm not internal and I got placed band 1. Internals apply to different postings as well if I remember right.

All new grad positions for kaiser are med surg/ tele. And tele and med surg are not separate. Same thing. just an FYI. No specialties for new grads.

I definitely would not lose hope if you were placed in a lower band. You have the same chance as someone in a higher band. I think internal employees are the ones that get a preference over band placements. :)

This is a hit or miss to be honest. I've been placed on band 1 and never got an interview at all. And saw people from band 4-6 get calls. Bands to be honest are just rated on screenings by the recruiter. But its up to the units to reach out for interviews.

Nothing for Riverside as of yet. And that was my first choice.

I already work for SCAL Kaiser and other things I need to consider before getting up and moving but definitely a decision to be made. Either way just got an official letter from the recruiter for the position today. Good luck to everyone else waiting! You guys got this ❤️

I don't think it'll affect the number they accept, I think honestly it's going to be better options than the March Cohort. Because that cohort only had med surg as availability. And getting specialties is nice. Also with LA participating in this cohort that means there will be more openings than the March cohort as well. The waiting game is what's nerve wrecking, but as long as they don't cancel we are good!

What location are you being considered for? The commute is long but it'll be worth it. Kaiser NCAL is hard to get into especially external you deserved it! I'm going to wait for them to reach out, they told my interview group they would tell us on 5/22 so I want to give them time. I know Kaiser recruiters get jammed with stuff so I don't blame them. I'm internal so I kinda know their hiring process takes a bit and I rather not bombard them. I'll follow up after 5/22 if they don't reach out. But during this time I'll hope SCAL opens up LOL.

If I take the offer yes, I'm from SCAL. And with SCAL applications being pushed back and no set date for when they'll open it I'm 50/50 on if I'll take NCAL offer or not. Are you local to NCAL? I saw another person post that they were internal SCAL also and possibly gotten into NCAL too.- Kaiser 2026 SoCal
I haven't heard it's cancelled, and I've seen on the recruiters team (internal employee) that they are still working on getting a date for applicants. they were trying to figure out specialties to align with training as well for already established RN's trying to go into a specialty. Kaiser also offers specialty training to already established RN's trying to switch so makes sense to align it with new grads if their educators are limited.- Kaiser Permanente Norcal New Grad RN Program July 2026
No offer yet, but I do remember them saying they would tell us officially by the 22nd. Mine just changed late Friday, and I know recruitment can take a couple days to contact people once status changes happen.- Kaiser Permanente Norcal New Grad RN Program July 2026
If hired are you relocating? Only asking because I am internal as well and my application status changed to "hired to linked position" so im nervous I got the NCAL job but now debating on the relocation. Would rather get into SCAL - Kaiser Permanente Norcal New Grad RN Program July 2026
