  1. I don't believe they accept labs that were completed online. I took a chemistry lecture online and it was accepted. I would double check the website's admission requirements or call admissions to make sure.
  2. Hi! I would look into other CUNY/SUNY programs in the city; Hunter makes it almost impossible for most people to get in. Uunsure about what your budget is, but there are also private school options for an ABSN (Mount Sinai, Mount St.Vincent, LIU, NYU) these are just a few that come to mind. It's easier to get into a private school, it'll just cost significantly more. There are quite a few CUNY schools that offer an Associates in Nursing (Medgar Evers, Laguardia, BMCC); you can usually go back to the same school to do a bridge RN-BSN for about 1 year (it's usually fully online). Some people get their Associates, pass their NCLEX, become RNs, and once they have a job, their job sometimes will partially/fully cover the expense of returning to school to get the BSN. SUNY Downstate also has an ABSN program that is 15 months. Don't be discouraged! There are many avenues you can take to achieve your goals. Best of luck to you ?
  3. General question about the facebook group for our cohort I made a facebook solely to join it, under the assumption that it would be an active group, and we would be getting to know each other, but so far not much has been going on with it. Is it more a page for updates and reminders? Do you guys think it will be more active once we're closer to starting school? Genuinely just curious because I was looking forward to getting to know everyone, but its been crickets LOL
  4. Congrats on your interview!! I think its perfectly fine and understandable that you had to be assertive with admissions at times; you have to advocate for yourself in order to get what you want. Getting called for an interview is very promising; I can't guarantee you'll get in, but you more than likely will. The best important advice I can give you is to remain calm, and just be yourself. I know that sounds cliché, but its true! Just remember you aren't in competition with the other candidates you're being interviewed with (if its a group interview), they just want to get to know you! It was very conversational. I'm sure you will be fine. Best of luck on your interview! Ofc let the thread know once you've been accepted ?
  5. Please disregard my initial response; I was half asleep when I answered. I uploaded all 4 syllabi for the my labs, which was enough.
  6. Hi! Not sure what the lowest acceptable TEAS score is, but I do know the program requires an 80 minimum in both the math and reading sections; an 80 is preferred for science, but it isn't mandatory. I don't think they care too much about the last English section.
  7. Hi! If im not mistaken, its either two LOR from 2 different professor, one of them being a science professor, or one LOR from an employer/ supervisor + one from a science professor. You can always reach out to admissions to ask them!
  8. I don't know anyone by name, but like someone else in the thread said, call them. Who cares if they get annoyed about you calling again; its part of their job to assist you with inquiries relating to your application. I called them as many times as I needed to, to ensure I had everything I could possibly need before I submitted my application. I tried my best to be patient with them; I tried respect their wishes by emailing them, but the emails were rarely helpful - sometimes rude, dismissive, and pointless. I got much better results when speaking to someone over the phone, even if they sounded annoyed LOL. There is one person I've spoken to over the phone somewhat frequently; she has been really nice and helpful on the phone, I just don't know her name unfortunately. All this to say, its your future! You should fight for whatever it is you want, as long as you believe its worth it! If you get what you want/need by putting up with grumpy admin staff, just bear it, until your application is submitted, Good luck!
  9. I tried using screenshots of my classes and they said it wasn't good enough. They asked me to upload an official document or the syllabui for the labs to provide proof of modality, since they only accept in-person labs.
  10. Im really sorry to hear that your application process has been stressful to the point you're considering going to a different program. I noticed that you only mentioned courses from your Master's not qualifying for certain pre-reqs, but what about courses from your undergrad? I am sure there are sociology, english, and math equivalent courses that would suffice? Also, do you think your supervisor would be willing to reach out to admissions on your behalf? I know she is on maternity leave and the last thing you'd want to do is bother her, but if she was aware that this was one of the reasons your application was stuck, she would probably want to help. IDK, just a thought! Regardless, wishing you all the best in whichever nursing program you end up with!
  11. I got my acceptance offer today! I'm so relieved and excited, I even made a facebook for the first time ever to join the cohort group. Wishing all of those who have applied/are applying the best of luck <33
  12. Hi! Congrats on your acceptance! Very happy for you :)! I have a quick question. How long after your interview were you accepted? Did the status change on the AMP website or did you receive an email with stating your acceptance/offer? I had an interview today, and I'm really nervous about what the final decision may be. Thanks so much!
