I did! They told me that they aim to let everyone know by the first week of April and that we'd get an email. This is my first year applying there as well so not sure exactly how it'll come through

Were you waitlisted for UNBC last year? I feel like I remember seeing your name on last years post. Do you know if anyone ever ends up getting off the waitlist? I cant seem to get a response from anyone on this

I got rejected by TRU back in mid January so I'm quite surprised to hear that things are still pending for some people, especially since the program starts in less than 2 months

I'm waitlisted for UNBC but have been rejected by 2 other programs in different provinces and it sounds like I have a similar problem to what you had so glad to hear I'm in the right direction for improving my application as those 2 other programs did not give feedback. do you know if you're accepting UBC or UNBC?

They told me they have a "healthy" waitlist, whatever that means haha I was not able to get any other information out of them unfortunately so I will continue to sit with my fingers crossed

I appreciate this! I retook stats (not in time for UNBC application), have taken 2 other undergrad courses as GPA boosters and plan to start my masters in May if I don't get in. Wonder if I should retake patho though.. which course did you take?

That's incredible experience! I feel you. I have 7 years emerg and 5 years northern/remote across BC and Nunavut , actually wanting to move to the north and was also waitlisted. I truly think it comes down to GPA and maybe even writing skills on the application

I've responded to some all nurses post from last year on people that were waitlisted and on Reddit as well and have not received a response yet. I knew a girl that was 10th on the uvic waitlist and got in so it is possible. I believe UNBC won't tell us our position though

I applied to both and after talking to people from each program, it sounds like TRU is maybe less focused on the MN portion compared to UNBC, hence the final project being such a large portion with UNBC. And also TRU is shorter which I think would be a deciding factor for me personally

I just happened to open my UNBC email and it was there and then when I looked my applicant dashboard was updated saying they sent me an email. So Im not sure if was updated at the same time

wow thats crazy! Sometimes it also seems like there is no rhyme or reason to it to because I talked to someone who got in last year with a 3.7 and no remote experience.... but you are right, just need to play the game and improve where we can

Im starting my masters in May if I don't get in anywhere for the fall. I saw your comment on a previous post, how much remote experience do you have? Frustrating that UNBC doesnt actually count extra courses towards overall GPA but just that they are "considered" on your application. What is your GPA?

I've never seen anything about interviews on their page! I bet more programs will start doing them though with how competitive things are now. They told me they are sorting through 180 applicants and aiming to notify by end of Feb
