I am currently in the program and saw this thread. I was waitlisted last year and was offered a seat later in the Summer. They will provide you with updates until the first day of classes to let you know what number you are on the waitlist. They do have lots of applicants on the waitlist but historically a lot of people get offered seats! So that's a plus!

@NicuRN88Mh UNBC emailed last week and said I moved up a spot. They also said they’ll update us everytime there’s any movement!

@NicuRN88Mh oh wow at least they offering feedback. I wonder if those who don’t get off the waitlist will have some sort of advantage applying for the next intake ??

Hey @ab_1, I’m not sure how the waitlist works as I too was surprised to see my waitlist #. I was also assuming there would be a small # on the waitlist similar to undergrad nursing programs. I’ve been a nurse for a little over 3 years. Since this is a rural program focused on primary care I think they do take applicants with more nursing experience as compared to some of the other schools in BC. I’m thinking of reaching out to the university in a couple of weeks to see if there’s been any movement. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Oh okay. I thought they would maybe have 30 seats like ubc and uvic. Fingers crossed we get off the waitlist! I guess it’s hard waiting because it’s Unknown when/if we will hear from them. Do you know anyone who was taken off the waitlist?
