Suboxone
HI I am in florida and on suboxone for chronic pain my contract says that I have to stay on suboxone at least for a year and If I decide to come off on that first year I would have to get another evaluation. But some nurses are allowed to stay on suboxone. I have permission to work so you can definitely work while being on suboxone.

Yes guys thanks for your comments. I ended up making an appointment. I asked for it to be a month away so I could pay with my taxes also it wasn't 2000 dollars as I was expecting he is charging me 800. It is still a lot but a bit more manageable. Thank you all for your advice.

Hi thanks for your feedback. In florida if you got in trouble with weed, opiods, alcohol, heroin ect you have to do a neuro evaluation before returning to work.I have no mental issues they just require everyone to do the neuro. What they are wanting me to do is another regular evaluation not neuro. Also I asked my case manager all those questions and she just tells me because per ipn procedure. I have said the same things why? I didn't do anything, I even tild her so anyone can just come up to you at any given moment even if they don't like me an say I was impaired? IDK what else to do. I said I would have to leave my profession because I can't come up with 2000 dollars in 14 days. So she said if it doesn't happen in 14 days I would be kicked out of IPN and they would report me to DOH. I am as confused as you are. Drug test came in today but since last Friday when all this happen I told her I was going to be negative and I guess no one believed me. And belive me if I could keep the monitoring program as it was I would stay but sending me to do a neuro in 14 days is ridiculous. I asked her if I could wait a month or two so I can save the money up, no 14 days.

Hi I have been reading on this group since when I got in trouble but never posted. I need some advice maybe some feedback. I was caught diverting and did all the things evaluation, rehab, IOP, just recently signed my contract pending a neuro evaluation. Well I went and took the evaluation this month I thought it was good, the person that did the exam was saying, how intelligent I was and bla bla bla. The next day I get hit with a hair sample but before I could even go to do the test my case manager said that she was adding 2 more samples, so in total 3 drug test hair, urine and blood. She told me she was adding it because the person at the neuro evaluation said I was impaired that day during the evaluation I was shocked but have nothing to hide I know I was not impaired. So on my way to take all the drug test case manager writes again saying that I can not practice and I need another evaluation in 14 days. I ask her don't you wait until the drug test comes back? I know I didn't do any drugs but no she said I had to do an evaluation. Now I am having to leave the profession I loved. But I didn't do anything. Drug test came today all negative like I said it would. I don't have a job so I can afford another evaluation. Last week alone I lost 2000 for the neuro evaluation and almost 600 in drug test. So I will probably just end up letting go of my profession and all the work that I have given to my Sobriety. Has anyone gone thru this?t Did you still had to do an evaluation even having drug test negative? Any feedback or advice would be great.
