Relocation??
i live in union county, nc- monroe. i like the schools here and i live out in the country with the chicken farms and cows. i am 15 minutes from charlotte and lots of people move to our county versus charlotte- mecklenburg county- due to the much lower taxes we have. as far as cost of living- i think we are at an average here- no more than anywhere else. we are also only 2.5 hours to nc or sc beaches and 3-3.5 hours from the mountains of nc. good luck with your decision on where to move to!

Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte
wow! i sure hope you did well on the nclex yesterday! i know this is gonna be tough for me but it is something i have wanted to do for a long time now. but with all the horror stories i have been hearing about nursing schools i keep finding that i am second guessing myself. i do not expect it to be easy by no means, but i think i will need alot of support along the way. do you live in concord? i am originally from salisbury, and most of my family still lives there. my mom lives in stanfield and i live in monroe. she has given us some acreage there in stanfield but i wanted to wait til i was out of school before i thought about moving. thanks for all your input, i really appreciate it!

Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte
oh i see. well i will begin there in may and the lady i spoke with said they start out with fundamentals of nursing. so i plan on going there and giving it my all. my class will graduate in 12/2007, or those that make it will anyway. i just hope i can do it. i am 35 yrs old with 2 kids in school and have been out of school some 17 yrs now...but the good thing is all i need to take the first semester is the first nursing course since i have everything elase but micro finished and will take that in the fall semester.

Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte
okay. thanks. i just hope that they have a better success rate than one of my local cc. i have a friend who went to a local cc, and flunked out the 4th semester by 3 tens of a point! but also when she began in the prior fall semester she had 60 in her class, but by the 4th semester there were only 5 of the original 60 left! they have a very high failure rate. so that makes me nervous needless to say...

North Carolina Roll Call
hey there! my name is candy. i live in monroe, nc and just received my acceptance letter for the may 2006 entry at mercy school of nursing in charlotte, nc. i am a 35 yr old mother of 2 kids ages 13 and 9 yrs and a wife of 14 yrs. i have been slowly getting all of my core classes behind me so that all i have left now is nursing 1-5 and microbiology. has there been anyone here that knows anyone that may have graduated from mercy? or are currently in their program? if so i'd like any help pointers on their program and what their instrucotrs are like. i have looked forward to this program for so long and have had a horrible experience at another nursing school nearby. i'd like to have a positive experience with mercy and look forward to any info i can get on them.
