Rady Children's New Grad RN Residency Summer 2026
It was my first time applying and I had a preceptorship in the PICU and PCICU. My nurse was certified in both and I spent time equally in both units. So I think that was to my advantage. I also did a paid preceptorship in the adult ICU last Summer. I am from NorCal so I'm not local or internal. I think I had strong answers on the application and I have other strong leadership experiences. They are probably reaching out to candidates by unit. So no news is potentially good news!! Fingers crossed for you!!

Rady Children's New Grad RN Residency Summer 2026
Hi hopefully you will all hear back soon! I got an invite to interview with the CTICU today. I sadly had to decline because I accepted a position in the PICU at Seattle Children's and the interview will take place in person after I will already be relocated and moved in. I will send positive vibes everyone's way!

Yay! Huge congrats! I'm not looking forward to the move but I'll be more excited once I'm settled in! From the research I've done I'll be looking around greenlake and Roosevelt area! University district is hit or miss... don't go too far west because traffic can be terrible... someone told me Capitol Hill is an option too!

There's a new grad residency Facebook page that shares information from all around the US! There was a post about Seattle Children's where people were sharing some information.

Thank you! So I got a call the other day and the CICU and CSCU chose their people and I was not selected but I got the opportunity to interview with my second choice the PICU next week! Hoping for the best! Regardless this has been such a good learning experience and a healthy interviewing process. I love that the recruiter gives feedback! Good luck to everyone!! ❤️

Unfortunately everyone is super secretive and won't say specific floors.... But I do know that they aren't done interviewing. Some are even happening next week. So it might be longer than the 5 days listed in the email depending on the unit!

Good luck everyone who interviewed! According to people on Facebook, some of the acute care floors are already extending offers!! Has anyone heard anything from any of the ICU's yet? I'm hoping soon!

Good luck to everyone that has an interview this week! Does anyone have any tips for the CICU interview?! It'll be over zoom with managers I'm guessing.

I don't have a list unfortunately..... but from what she was saying, it sounded like whatever units we were able to select in the original posting are hiring this round.

The posting is not there, but originally when all of us were clicking back into the job posting that we applied to it was saying that the only units are available were like four units. This was really confusing to all of us, so it made us think that ICU was not available. From what the recruiter was saying, it looks like most units are available. I got an interview for the CICU!

Good news! I just got off of the phone with the recruiter and they ARE offering ICU! They reposted the original job listing with the units that didn't get as much interest. Good luck to everyone that has a phone screening! She was super nice!

I haven't heard anything yet!

I didn't email her. I did not reapply. I figure they must have looked at resumes more than units chosen this round. I don't think any of the units hiring are typically top choices of candidates. I was just going to talk to her further in my phone interview and talk about these other units.

It's medical f3, rehabilitation, acute care float and cardiac specialty care unit..... I was also confused. I originally put down CICU and PICU and got an invite to phone screen LOL. So we will see what they say but I will prep to talk about these other units.

I guess the screenshot I tried to share didn't upload and I can't figure out how to edit my last post but essentially if you go back to your profile and click on the job listing it says that only medical F3, Rehabilitation, Acute Care Float Pool and the Cardiac Specialty Care Unit is hiring for this cohort. Hmmm.

I just went back into the site to check status and when I went back into the job listing on my profile it says that only these units are hiring for this cohort…… I definitely chose other units in my application and didn't notice this info until now.... But I also applied at 2 am LOL. Anyone else in the same boat? Guess I need to prep to talk about other units in my phone screening just in case.

UC Davis Health New Grad RN Residency March 2026 Cohort
If it is just says reviewed, then it has not been routed anywhere yet. You want to be on the look out for the application status that says "routed". The next steps are for your application to hopefully be routed to a unit manager and then for you to be selected to interview. ??hopefully things will pick up again soon after the holidays!

I'm not sure! I would hope so! You would have to ask the manager or whoever reaches out about the interview.

It depends on the unit. PICU was done in person and ED is going to be virtual
-
UC Davis Health New Grad RN Residency March 2026 Cohort
Of course! It is super variable and depends on the unit and when they choose to start. PICU has a May start but they are already done interviewing and we are waiting to hear next steps!

Some have some haven't! Scroll up to read more about some of the units that have been contacting people..... but know that everything has slowed down because of the holiday so I wouldn't be expecting any updates any time soon unfortunately. An update since I last posted, one of my friends did get an interview for ED that will be happening early January. He did not precept at Davis.

You're welcome! I will keep people posted of what I find out! I forgot to add that I do know of someone who was routed and is interviewing for NICU in early January but she precepted on that unit at Davis. I have not heard of anything for ED yet!!
