  1. I will also be declining my offer. I hope this doesn't offend anyone in this thread, but as someone who went to Columbia for undergrad and has friends who have attended this program, I would strongly encourage people to think carefully before taking on significant debt and/or relocating for it if you're hoping for an "Ivy League" or typical Columbia University experience. From my perspective, the medical campus environment and CUSON are very different and very disorganized. Our job as nurses and nurse practitioners is to treat and save lives, so when current students and alumni in this thread (as well as people I've spoken with offline) raise concerns about the program's management and clinical preparation, I think it's worth listening to those perspectives.
  2. I graduated from one of Columbia's undergraduate programs and was accepted during the first round of acceptances.
  3. I've never heard of a grad program doing that. It's especially unlikely for a program starting this June.
  4. I was accepted last Friday and never received an email telling me to check my portal. I did receive communication about the accepted students' day in two weeks.
  5. CUSON just sent out an email to accepted students saying that the deadline to RSVP for the admitted students day is February 20th (visit day is February 27th). I'm guessing that means everyone else should hear back by February 20th.
  6. I just received my acceptance. I didn't get an email, so I'd recommend just checking your portals for an update.
  7. I just heard back (via checking the portal, not an email) and was accepted.
  8. My portal looks the same on my computer and phone.
  9. Would you say that the disorganization is mostly in admissions, or has it affected the rest of your experience with CUSON?
  10. Not sure about Yale's other programs, but there aren't traditional interviews for the GEPN program.
  11. I saw a fairly concerning Reddit post (called "What the heck is going on at the nursing school?" in the Vanderbilt subreddit, in case anyone wants to read through it) for the Spring 2026 applicants, where they were supposed to hear in July, and it kept getting pushed back until they finally heard in October. The fall cohort is the main cohort, so it's definitely possible that they'll get back to us sooner, but I'm going to manage my expectations about the timeline.
  12. On past threads from previous years, the decisions have been released on the Thursday or Friday before Christmas. I attended a few information sessions, and the admissions staff said that they usually release decisions before the end of December. I'm assuming faculty are on vacation starting next week, so I'm really hoping it is this Thursday or Friday.
  13. Does anyone know what date people started hearing back last year? For most schools I'm applying to, it's the Thursday/Friday before Christmas.
  14. The admissions office told me that decisions will be coming out during the second or third week of January.
  15. I never got an email. I saw on OPUS this morning (around 10am) that there was a section for me to submit my acceptance deposit, and then a few hours later, the official acceptance letter was on my admissions portal. It seems like, from previous comments and threads, that you should be able to check via OPUS.
  16. I attended two of their information sessions, and they didn't mention a specific date for us to hear back, unfortunately. The admissions officer mentioned that they try to get decisions in by the end of December, but occasionally they come out at the beginning of January.
  17. I just heard back from the second round of admissions and got in for Adult-Gerontology Primary Care!
  18. I haven't seen a thread for the Yale GEPN Fall 2026 start, so I figured I'd start one. I'm hoping those who applied by the priority deadline will hear back this week! Looking forward to communicating with you all!
