  1. Not an excuse but I know Columbia is on Spring break this week. Assuming staff will be back in office Monday.
  2. Correct. PLAN is unrelated to admission, not sure if DNP is eligible? Visiting day was JUST about MDE. So they didn't elaborate on anything related to DNP. Also, DNP sessions are sometime this month. So I don't know if DNP- only decisions have gone out yet.
  3. I don't believe so? At least a current student said they get a lot of their gear on Amazon to save money. wink has the same pants they sell in the bookstore. I ordered a different size because my typical size fit weird. That is wild. And I am so sorry trailblazer. Was really rooting for you (and still am whether you want to attend or not). ?
  4. To those who will be attending - the brand of scrubs is wonder wink. While you are required to buy the top from the bookstore because it's embroidered, the pants are not and can be purchased from wonder wink directly. They have other pant styles in a matching color. They also offer 15% discount. Hope this helps someone!
  5. One more thing: I met several students who have had a good/fine experience at CUSON and one person even said they wouldn't hesitate to do the program again. so food for thought. People who are happy are rarely the loudest but their perspectives are equally important.
  6. I don't think anyone should be offended by this perspective because it's a valid concern. I also don't think that picking CUSON because it's an "ivy" is worth it. Ivies in general are no longer worth the cost of attending and no longer bear the weight or significance that they once did. I will be attending but not because CUSON is an ivy. I'll be attending for one simple reason, its affiliation to NYP. I have my own personal reasons for this and didn't apply anywhere else for that simple reason. Everyone needs to make a decision they feel most comfortable with. At the end of the day, clinicals are the most important part of nursing (not so much the school work). So pick a place with a good clinical sites. You will learn more from boots on ground learning than you ever will in a classroom or on a mannequin.
  7. Yes. I believe they said you could take a year if you are already accepted into both. But I may be remembering the amount of time wrong so hopefully someone else chimes in.
  8. They said that 100% of their MDE class was employed. They heavily emphasized since Columbia is affiliated with New York City health and hospitals as well as New York Presbyterian, most clinicals are also « job interviews. »
  9. That was just the first Summer. Here is the rest! Photo 3.pdf
  10. Not you. I tried a multitude of ways to get it and it won't load. Does the PDF work?
  11. I can't see @Deborah Dee 's picture. So I'll try to post what I got. Sorry for the weird colors my phone picked up at the angle of my seat.
  12. I don't want to be in charge of a FB group LOL. Happy to join if someone does create one
  13. For me it was easy. I didn't apply anywhere else because I'm an idiot who did zero research and didn't realize other schools offered similar programs under different acronyms. ? but I may have picked them anyway. the organization (NYP) has a hospital right near me so hoping that when I'm ready for a job it will help. I will say that NYP famously likes to hire their own trainees. So living in the NY area, attending an NYP affiliated school will help with hiring. And that was heavily emphasized during visiting day (“networking”)
  14. My guess is during the DNP specific events this month. They gave us the tentative MDE schedules yesterday.
  15. DNP-only folks - there will be a special event to discuss the DNP programs in March. So I'm guessing responses are still rolling out (though the delay is insane given when school starts).
  16. If your letter disappeared and showed up as "Not found,” they fixed the issue. Letter should be back.
  17. Waiting is terrible! I'm sorry. Yes I am planning to attend. I hope you get your acceptance soon!
  18. I did. But I applied in the priority decision deadline and I bugged the hell out of them.
  19. Hard to tell as people who get rejected or waitlisted tend not to want to share that.
  20. First round of decisions were released around 4:30pm on Friday.
  21. My letter also says "NOT FOUND.” Fortunately I saw it before it disappeared, because that would have been nightmare-fodder to see a decision was posted and be unable to access it all weekend. ? I'm assuming all will be fixed Monday.
