  1. Hi sorry he doesn't remember much besides it not being that hard and no clinical. I wouldn't sweat it just have enough stories prepared for generic questions, and be yourself. good luck!
  2. For those that got interview not selected, what units do you apply for? I got the same and applied for ICU & ER.
  3. Congrats! I'm sure I'll see you around ?
  4. Yes medicine called their candidates either day of the interview or day after last week for unit level this week.. On the New Grad Bay Area nurses, people mentioned they got their calls for medicine unit. Hoping for the best for you! It's hard out here ?
  5. Unit interviews have happened this week or are currently happening. Last day to receive a call was last Friday for a unit level interview. Sorry ?
  6. For those that interviewed, has anyone heard anything?
  7. Does anyone know the structure of the new grad program? Are the days back to back or scattered throughout the week?
  8. Congrats! I'm assuming I didn't get it. Good luck ?
  9. I received an interview as well for that unit!! the pay is 48 for your weeks on orientation and once it's done in the 12 weeks, it goes up to $53 I believe.
  10. Hi everyone I got a second interview for Surgical Panel 1 ENT/Plastic. Does anyone have any advice for the second unit level interview even if it's not for the same department? Thank you!
  11. Hi everyone, just to play devil's advocate here—but keep in mind that a lot of these residencies don't actually know which units will be hiring until much closer to interview time. One well-known hospital even canceled my interview entirely because they underestimated how small their cohort would be, and for those who did get interviews, they were told that even if they passed the first round, they might not move forward to the unit interview. Why? Because the hiring manager could either deny them or decide the unit no longer needs anyone. With the way things are going, federal budget cuts impacting California, many hospitals have had to either pause their new grad programs or drastically reduce the number of positions they're offering. It's a really frustrating place to be in, and trust me, I've felt it too. But please be mentally prepared to take any position you're offered, even if it's not your first choice. This might be the most competitive new grad season we've seen yet, and flexibility could make all the difference. Wishing everyone luck, and their dream jobs, and I hope we hear some good news from Northridge soon. ?
  12. So I emailed the previous recruiter for the general units, and he mentioned they are still looking at resumes and will be contacting candidates if selected for an interview! I don't think they have reached out yet
  13. For surgical? Yes I received an invite last week
  14. My guess for ED is they ended up not hiring there, or they only had one spot available and very few received an invite. They said float pool is just as competitive as ED, but I heard others get invited for float! So who knows. I had ED as my #1 and got my #2 surgical instead
  15. I must have missed that! Thank you ? This is on both applications: YOU MUST HAVE AN RN LICENSE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. THE LICENSE NUMBER MUST BE ON YOUR RESUME FOR CONSIDERATION.
  16. So I went back on a thread from the last years September cycle, and they didn't hear back until mid to end of June. Interviews were shortly after and by mid July you'll know if you got it or not. By next week for sure the latest, we should hear something.
  17. Just fyi, Glendale is Medsurg Telemetry only and likely all night shift, but it's good to have options. friend is an internal and told me this.
  18. Has anyone heard back from the critical care residency program?
  19. Can someone explain to me what the surgical AAU's are? Are they equivalent to a PACU?
  20. Wait! Good catch. Mine says surgical division 1
  21. no but it did say something when I scheduled my time about managers selecting the fit for the unit, and it's these units: ENT/Plastics/Breast Health, Cardiothoracic/Vascular/Transplant and Gynecology Oncology units.
