After it's completed you can sit for the Certified Nurse Educator certification. I really think it has a lot to do with where you are planning on ending up. UW has more national notoriety, but I graduated from Emory (#1 BSN program) and no one out here could give a hoot. I'm planning on staying in Clark County, so WSU makes sense. My pro/con list is practicality vs prestige, haha.
I read something where 2027 is essentially doomsday for nursing faculty (huge retirement surge), so it's probably going to end up being just like nursing where you're a warm body with the proper degree.
