RN CM to be

Hi I have received an email that I was accepted to ABSN Summer Oakland 2026 program but I started Unitek LVN program part time evening and actually like the professors and bond with a few of my classmates so I am just wondering why when I had applied they told me months ago as I appear in December 2024 along with the ELMSN that I got waitlisted in that ABSN I was not chosen for anyway what is cost and should I continue with LVN as it fits for my children's school schedule and I can work per diem as I heard it's hard to work on ABSN and I do have a previous bachelor degree in a different subject. please give me some advice thanks appreciate it in advance.

Hi I had a 3.8 GPA for my bachelor's degree and I had retaken science courses but I would not take over more than about two since it makes it seem like you can't grasp information as in the interview the question was how have your study habits improved I took most my Biology courses Anatomy twice and Physiology got a C and a B and Microbiology had a C as well as chemistry but had taken Pharmacology and Pathophysiology and got A s in both last year . But if you can retake them get A. Best of luck I was placed on the waitlist also have 20 years as a CNA and currently a teacher .

Hi I received email today I was not accepted to the ABSN Summer well high amount of eligible applicants and I didn't make it , well going to go to Unitek LVN it's cheaper and has port time evening well wishes to those who got into Samuel ABSN.

Hi I am in same boat although my BA yields a 3.7 GPA my science course for pre nursing are over 10 years old and I do have patho and pharm that's recent with A in both as well as I work as a CNA past 3 years so plan to attend LVN unitek Hayward in July .

Hi I got email January 31 that they are reviewing applications and I applied for ELMSN CM and got an interview and was waitlisted number 16 .

Hi Is it lottery and waitlist at CCC since it's ADN community school I heard it is a longer wait.How old can the science classes be to get in?

Private schools cost more but some have no restrictions on the age of your science classes long as you passed with a C or better and taken in some cases pathophysiology and pharmacology classes and have work experience in medical field. Hope you were able to get into a RN bridge program .

Hi all I received notification that I am on the waitlist number 16 so let's see if it moves before August beat of luck all I applied also to the ABSN so will look at that as well for acceptance or waitlist otherwise may have to do LVN and bridge program later since I do not want to get into a nursing program.

I got an email I am number 16 on ELMSN CM waitlist let's see if I move up in next few months before August.

Hi My interview too about 45 mins and the person asked questions about my background , did I hold a supervisor type role and I do as a special education teacher and I have paraeducators . My GPA was good for my BA and I had taken my science classes many years ago and retake two of them and explained why and she seemed OK with m y responses.Best of luck to us all.

Hi I have about 20 years experience as a CNA and med tech and hospice home health care and currently am a Special education teacher for 3 years.But definitely want the ABSN first if I get in that program.
