Nurse residency in south florida
Hi, as someone from South Florida, I'd recommend looking into hospitals in Broward like Broward Health, Memorial Healthcare, Mount Sinai, and the HCA locations in the area—you'll likely have better luck there. Orlando Health and Advent Health (in both Tampa and Orlando) are actively hiring, as well as hospitals in Tallahassee. For Baptist Hospital in Miami, unless you attended West Coast, FIU, UM, Barry, or MDC, it's highly unlikely they'll consider your application. They tend to be very selective, preferring BSN graduates from well-known schools. While knowing someone in recruitment might help, the chances are still quite slim. HCA Kendall primarily works with Galen students, and at the moment, their only open residency is reserved for them. Jackson Hospital has very few residency openings, and due to their six-year pension program, spots fill up quickly. Wishing you the best of luck with your job search! Hopefully, you can follow up on any opportunities that come your way
