  1. Same here, I'd say cautiously optimistic but the waiting game is tough! It must be difficult to select only 15 applicants of the 45ish that were interviewed. It was definitely an accomplishment being granted an interview out of the 168 people that applied this year, so congrats to everyone and best of luck!
  2. As we were leaving the interview session, they said decisions will likely be sent out by early next week ??
  3. Same here, that was a crazy 100 days to wait for a denial. Still waiting on a decision from one program and have another interview in a couple weeks, but otherwise hopefully better luck for us next cycle.
  4. No it was way harder than last year when I got waitlisted, didn't do as well this year. They must've needed to increase difficulty to better weed interviewees out ?
  5. Thank you, and yes there were a few things that were different than my last application. Since then, I finished two online courses with A's in both (Organic Chem w/ Lab and Intro to Statistics), received a couple more daisy award nominations, added some volunteer hours and shadowed in the OR another time. I also chaired a committee for which I submitted a QI project for presentation at two national nursing conferences and wrote some of the abstracts for my unit's AACN Beacon Award we were presented.
  6. Had my interview on Monday, the director said they will try to have admissions decisions sent out by Valentine's Day or soon after. Best of luck to everyone!
  7. I applied last cycle and didn't get an interview, so was happy to have received my interview invitation this morning for the second cohort. I heard there's a short CCRN style quiz before the interview and it's both "tell me about yourself" and being able to demonstrate clinical competency. Best of luck to everyone and hopefully will see some of you there!
  8. Same. I'm thinking once they confirm their acceptances and send waitlist decisions, they'll send us our denials. They could send out in batches but I doubt it. I have a friend in the first cohort and they were told the second cohort would be decided by early February.
  9. No, that's what mine has said since they received my Nursing CAS record in early November. I believe another member said that when they checked, their status went blank and shortly after were denied. I'm guessing admissions decisions will be sent out mid-January after faculty returns from holiday break.
  10. Does that mean the first round will go out in December and second round in January? Or they all will go out late December early January?
  11. Nothing yet. Still says complete, under review with the department. Can anyone confirm that the KIRA was the only interview being conducted and we're just waiting on admissions decisions? It just seems odd since the KIRA is usually used as a preliminary interview in my experience. That would also mean that everyone who applied was interviewed, unless they only look at the KIRA if they're satisfied with the rest of the application.
  12. Based on last year's data, I didn't think invites would go out until early November. Have not heard anything yet, and nobody I know that's applied to this program has heard anything either.
  13. Following- also have heard good things about this program. My wife is from MN, beautiful state if you can handle your Winter weather.
  14. *Question for anyone following the forum* Since the deadline was only about 2 weeks from the program's accreditation, how did you hear about it, when did you send your app in, where are you from and how many people do you think applied? Just trying to gauge how many people knew about the accreditation and if the applicant pool was mostly local or if they received out of state applications as well. I'm in Milwaukee, found out about the program from a coworker the day before the application deadline and was thankful I got everything submitted in time. Good luck everyone and I hope we hear something soon!
