Many programs require either general chemistry or some organic chemistry. If that wasn't in your BSN curriculum then I would take those courses. You also want your CCRN, involvement in your unit, charge and preceptor experience is also good. Make sure you're in a moderate to high acuity ICU with lots of vents and pressors as well. Additionally, some schools also require the GRE. When in doubt, just check the admission requirements for the specific programs you want to apply to. Good luck!

I won't go into specifics but it was about half and half, make sure to know medication mechanism of actions and your ICU specific common disorders.

Official admission letters will go out next week via email including details on accepting the seat.
