  1. @Therealcookiexo thank you so so much! Did your class have to buy the books or did you get them pdf? I don't want to buy them new if I don't have to
  2. @Nayxoxo are you in N4 now? If so, could you tell me what book you started with in N3? I'd like to study over the Winter break but we don't have the syllabus yet. Did you have to buy a ton of books?
  3. @CRNA ME PLZ, @CritterDNP, and any others starting the Fairfield CRNA program, once you guys start the program and get a good feel for the rhythm of things, would you consider meeting up for coffee/lunch/whatever? I live about 30 minutes from Fairfield and it's my dream CRNA program. I'd love to pick everyone's brains and who better to meet than those I'm trying to follow in the footsteps of. I'm so happy for everyone!
  4. Congrats @Micunursebx and @RBPhillynurse99!! After you crush this interview and get accepted would you mind sharing your stats? This is my dream school but I'm so nervous I don't have what they're looking for. I'm so excited for you both!
  5. Any new updates on New Grad Salaries at WMC and how difficult it was to land a job there?
  6. When everyone gets their interviews, could you share some of the questions asked? Good luck to everyone!
  7. I believe you just need proficiency for the TEAS. Try to complete as many prerequisites as possible prior to the start of nursing school. Microbiology was by far the most difficult prerequisite by a long shot, and the first break you have from nursing school you will not want to spend it taking another class. The professors are great, but the real work is staying on top of studying and how much effort you put into the program from home. From everything I've read and stories I've heard from students in other programs, nursing programs in general require a lot of discipline and in terms of Montefiore specifically, there are an OVERWHELMING number of resources. This isn't a bad thing, but IMO it's impossible to utilize all resources you're provided. Prioritize a few resources and create a schedule for yourself for studying. The expectations are high but you will be well trained. Best of luck, Monte is great!
  8. Any new updates on WMC hiring new grads? That's where I'd like to apply but I'm a little discouraged after reading everyone else having so much trouble
  9. @Nursingstdnt16 I'm doing the same at WCC on Saturdays. I'm doing well but it's dense material!
  10. I wonder if you call if they have the schedule and just haven't sent it out, or if it's completely undecided as of right now
  11. @Fruitnursing19 where are you doing your CPR? I need to do the same
  12. @Fruitnursing19 heck yeah!! I can't say I know anything about health assessment papers but I am both terrified and excited. Also... love your username LOL
  13. @Black empowerment Vision I scored an 88.7% on the TEAS and my GPA is 4.0. I completed all but 2 prerequisite classes (I'm in those last 2 right now). I think for Montefiore, the TEAS score matters less than the GPA. If you can, take the prerequisites slowly at WCC and focus on getting good grades. Your GPA from the prerequisites will overshadow whatever GPA you had in undergrad previously. You got this!
  14. @Nursingstdnt16, nice to meet you! Thank you for sharing. I never received the acceptance email from the school, only my acceptance via the portal and I haven't received any additional information ie: health packet, orientation days, etc. When is orientation? I spoke to the school on Friday and I'm told the deposit is due by October 7th.
  15. @Nayxoxo are there any additional things that you feel I should study before I start in January? I'm so scared I'll feel lost the entire time
  16. Hey @Black empowerment Vision! I just saw the MSON portal updated on Friday and I was accepted for the Spring 2025 evening cohort. I unfortunately don't know what to expect. I'm hoping more people reply to your thread so we can connect before January
  17. @Nayxoxo How has your experience been so far? Does Montefiore have you doing clinicals in the first semester? What's your schedule like? I just got accepted into the Spring 2025 cohort
  18. @kingmiaa I applied for MSON Spring 2025 as well and it said "Admitted" on the Montefiore portal Friday 9/20/2024. No other details yet. Hope you got accepted! Update us when you know! The cohort for Spring 2025 is 44 as of right now.
