  1. 2nd Interview is this Friday. I've never interviewed with them before.
  2. This was my 8th interview, so I've been through a good amount already. Graduated June. It was very different. Not the conventional interview structure...I will say that.
  3. Just got an email for the second interview. It's 2 hours long?
  4. Anyone have any updates for the step-down unit?
  5. Hi I am in another new grad program, but very far away from home. My interview is Friday. I don't know if being in another new grad program (less than 6 months tho) will help me or not? With 7 ppl in each round and it being multiple days, I'm guessing a good amount of people.
  6. I just got an interview call too. Honestly, thank you for letting me know this. I've been to many final round new grad interviews since June and they always end up hiring internally anyway... Better not to get my hopes too up.
  7. Does Washington's new grad program care if you have previous RN experience (less than 6 months)?
  8. Hi, I know you applied for the past cohorts and I hope your job hunt has been treating you well. I noticed you interviewed for the PCU at UCSD for the past cohorts. I have an interview for the 2 East PCU next week. Do you have any insight/advice on the types of questions asked during the interview by any chance?
  9. Hi I just got offered an interview with PCU at La Jolla next week. I am from the Bay Area and will have to fly down. I also got accepted to another new grad program for tele in LA that starts August 19th. Does anyone know how many people are interviewed/considered? I'm on the fence about even spending money to fly down to SD for an interview. Also, does anyone know how much UCSD pays?
  10. Does anyone know how many weeks the preceptorship/orientation is until we move to our solo scheduled shifts?
  11. I had an interview for ICU. I have not received a phone call with the results yet. Someone has.
  12. I interviewed last Thursday. I got a job offer Monday morning. I had 24 hours to accept it. For context, I thought I bombed that interview. I didn't know most of the technical stroke questions.
  13. I just saw on facebook someone said that it's now only 10 spots?
  14. Anyone who interviewed at Stanford Tri-Valley yesterday or today know how many open positions there are for this current cohort?
  15. Honestly, bro, you deserve it more than me. I just graduated last month and I've had a couple of interviews already and this isn't my first choice unit. Here is the info on the pay from the job posting: (I usually download all the job postings as PDFs bc they always disappear) "Compensation Range: Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $43.90 - $51.22 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.*12 hour shifts at Huntington Health are overtime-based (not a straight time rate for all 12 hours). Therefore, employees who work a full 12-hour shift will be paid their base rate for 8 hours AND overtime (1.5) for hours up to 12."
  16. My meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. Don't know what to expect either. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if I didn't get it. I just realized it's a 2-year commitment program? Good luck tho!
  17. Hey! It wasn't my first choice too either tbh. Lw wanted to ICU/critical care...but we will see because it's hella close to my house. I got the recruiter call yesterday afternoon. Probably expecting a random call today or tomorrow.
  18. I've gotten multiple emails over the past two days from a SoCal providence with questionnaires and time availabilities. It's light-weight confusing because I'm getting emails from different people for the same hospital.
  19. I think each Providence is different. I'm still getting scheduled to interview for a Socal Location. I have an interview scheduled for Friday for a NorCal location
  20. Hi I just received a call today that I should be expecting a preliminary call from the Stroke/Neuro unit manager and Oncology manager on possibly scheduling an interview after I ask some questions and get to know the program more. I wasn't expecting a call... it was so random. From looking at this thread, I thought that they were done screening people and hiring, but I guess not? Anyone in the same boat. Also does anyone know if during the interviews they ask: 1) Why do you want to work at this hospital?, 2) Why do you want to work on this unit?
  21. Hi, I applied to 5 different hospitals under the Providence system. I got an interview offer at two of them a couple of days after I applied (one in SoCal, one in NorCal/Bay Area). Before getting an interview offer, I got a text message questionnaire thing at all 5 hospitals. Does anyone have any insight or information on the Providence interview process? Is it a panel interview? What type of questions are asked?
  22. My status has been "application under review" since April. I even emailed [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME, PER TOS], explicitly asking if my application is still under review, and "does that means I am still considered for the October cohort"... and she didn't even answer my question. ?
  23. Of the 5 applications I applied to, 3/5 are "Others More Competitive" and 2/5 are "Referred to Hiring Department." I lw don't see myself making it to the interview rounds but we will see.
