  1. Yesterday I have my 4th dose of Rocephin given by push through my midline. I've been going in to the hospital daily for this. Today the RN seemed to give it quicker than normal and I immediately felt it as soon as he finished. I said, "somethings not right dude".. I felt like pin prickly sensation all over my body, I was soon flushed, and my head was pounding, my mouth felt strange. My bp jumped to 200something over 130. They called a rapid response team and ekg showed numerous pvc's. I was trying to explain what had happened (that I thought it had been pushed a bit too quickly) but my head was pounding so hard I didn't want to talk. Eventually they gave me some benadryl and over time I felt better. Was very scary to me. I'm an lpn but was looking and found this topic. Take care.
